Romney up 6 in Florida
Hot Air ^ | November 3,2012 | ED MORRISSEY

According to a new poll by the Tampa Bay Times and Miami Herald, we can put Florida firmly into Mitt Romney’s column. With just three days left for campaigning, Romney has a 51/45 lead over Barack Obama in a state Obama won by three in 2008. Romney even takes an edge in foreign policy now over Obama:

The Herald has an interesting analysis, one that confounds the national media narrative. Romney now gets more crossover votes than Obama, contra to the common assumption that independents are proto-Republicans and Romney has trouble with his base:

Romney’s strengths: independent voters and more crossover support from Democrats relative to the Republicans who back Obama, according to the survey conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research.

If Obama hopes that early voting will save him in Florida, he’d better expect change instead. Romney leads respondents who have already voted by a 50/47 margin and leads absentee voters 53/45. Romney also has a six-point lead among those who will vote on Tuesday. Looks like Florida is locked up.

I have been watching and listening to reports about how many Republicans and how many Democrats are going to early voting.

My question is this.

Can we really use that as a Pointer as to how many votes Obama is getting?
How many of those Democrats that are going to early voting are actually stupid enough to vote for Obama again?

Certainly all of those getting Government Freebies are going for Obama, but the Democrats who are paying taxes and working are paying for the freebies, the same as I am. They—like me—will be facing the death panels of Obamacare, and they are also paying the higher cost of their health care premiums.

It’s a given I suppose that all Democrats in the Congress are owned and operated by Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi, but there must be some in the general public who can think for themselves.

That explains why Marco Rubio was in Ohio last night with the new President rather than working Florida.

Marist has O+2 in FL this morning. Don’t put the cart before the horse, just get out and vote on Tuesday. Somebody is wrong.

Even in the VERY blue lower section of Florida, signs are three to one for Romney.

The Tampa Bay Times and Miami Herald are liberal rags (aren’t they all?), and South Florida is generally the more liberal part of the state. For these two papers to come out with this story three days before the election is both devastating and demoralizing to Zero’s true believers.

I don’t know precisely what Marist’s historical track record is, but I don’t think they’re in the top five. Plus, they haven’t been cited much during this cycle.

Be cheerful, be confident, and vote!

we can put Florida firmly into Mitt Romney’s column.

I sure hope so. I spent an hour and a half yesterday at a library in Jacksonville waiting in line to cast my ballot. I didn't like what I saw. The place was packed with throngs of people who were very clearly there to vote for Obama. It was discouraging, to say the least.

If you are a Florida resident and reading this, you'd better get your butt to the polls! I'm not buying yet that Romney has it in the bag.

Great, I voted for Chumlee from Pawn Stars, who couldn’t do any worse than these other 2 retards, and probably would do a better job.

He’ll be in Sanford, FL tomorrow morning, but he will be spending most of his remaining time in VA and OH.

I just got an email from a friend in FL who is a swing voter. Long family ties to labor unions etc.
He says that he has had his phone shut off because they are getting 4-5 robo calls an hour for GOP/Romney. Rolling to his voice mail and pissing him off.
If this is true..somebody needs to tell the state GOP..or maybe it is a push situation. He was voting for Romney, but is now so po’d that he may switch back to his 08 vote for Bozo.

Regardless of the political leanings of the outfits, fact is there are two vastly different results. I believe Rasmussen and others for the most part has FL at R +2 or R+3.

I don’t really believe the polling conspiracy theories advanced here. I think you simply have different methodologies and we will find out soon enough whose is better for the current electorate.

Another even bigger spread is PA. Ras has O+6 and I think another had O+9. Last night, Susquahanna had R+4.

Romney thinks he's a God.

We'll be replacing a communist with a blue blood country club corporate raider.

The only thing for sure is that the middle class will be paying higher taxes and have less freedom, no matter who wins.

Yesterday I deleted 23 voice messages on my landline left by the GOP. Took me quite a while. For some strange reason, I wasn't able to delete the message until it had played all the way through.
