I’m in the IBEW-just last week received the monthly newsletter with an Obama sticker affixed to the cover. Getting out of the union is almost out of the question; hopefully reform can be done from the inside.
And the Pope is still Catholic.

So much for the red tape cutting promise that Christie apparently believed.
No different from when we (US) were trying to send food aid to Somalia during the famine and the warlords were diverting it to gain power and control.
After trying to to see how the IBEW might actually be able to block a crew from a non-union state/company come to the coast to help, and failing, I’m throwing the BS flag on this story. Let’s say, for example, that I have a service truck and crew one state over with enough time on our hands to come help. What union screw is going to get in my way and what gov’t genius is going to say there’s no work? Not buying it although I can understand the uniondicks thinking they can bluff it true.
