Who wants conflict?

I don’t want it in most aspects of my life, and most people don’t want it when it comes to politics. But I love a good political fight. I love saying “I’m voting for the White guy”, just to tweak people. Maybe it’s because I live in such a Liberal city (NYC), and because, for years, I considered myself a Centrist Democrat who hated cardboard cut out Left wingers, since I grew up in an area where Democrats were old school Southern Blue Dogs.

So when I became a full fledged Conservative (thanks to Rudy Giuliani making NYC livable again, with 9/11 pushing me completely over the edge), I’ve gotten such a kick out of being politically incorrect.

But I know most people aren’t like me. They don’t want to be controversial or ruffle anyone’s feathers. I can’t relate to that at all, but then again, I’m a FReeper, right?

Think of the Democrat party as being in business and it is the business of that party and especially of the elites of the party who profit from it most, to supply the 47% with the rationale by which they can not work and live off the government.

To supply these rationalizations, the Democrat party resorts to the race card in normal times and class warfare most of the time. Essentially the Democratic Party is telling the 47% is okay to drop out of the system and be a parasite to the system because the system is unfair, corrupt, and needs to be "transformed."

We see this most blatantly in the African-American "community" but it is also apparent among Social Security recipients who are told that they are only receiving what they paid for.

The Republicans are at a severe disadvantage, they must disabuse the electorate of these rationalizations and so they run the risk of all messengers bearing unwelcome news.

This may very well happen.. and if it does..assuming FL, VA and NC emerge from their mistake of 2012, this will indeed be a happy night for us... regardless of what happens in Ohio!

If our PA volunteers are “down for the count” so are the D voters in Philly. Look for turnout there o be down at least 10%.

Stop the whatever-happens-in-Ohio stuff. We are a REPUBLICAN state. Governor, legislature, local councils, judges, etc.

We will go BIG for Romney on Tuesday.

I too have been more bold in political conflict than normal. I might have lost a client to politics. I was showing a liberal Californian property in Oregon, he wanted lots of trees and started complaining about how us Oregonians have “slaughtered” all of our trees.
I said, “Slaughter? don’t you think that is a little strong, that word would be better used to describe the 40 million babies that have been slaughtered in the womb for the past 39 years, we harvest trees, you slaughter babies.”

I saw my first Casey sign this morning. So, the Smith to Casey sign ratio is running something like 200 to 1.

I hope you are right but I've searched the news and couldn't find anything about power outages in Philly to the extent we have them here in the upper right part of the conservative "T" in this state. Big swatches of conservative areas have had no power for almost a week now.

We'll just have to do as much as we can here and hope for the best, though.

By the way, I got your latest book and am looking forward to starting it Nov 8th. Am volunteering all my free time through the election, will be SLEEPING Nov 7th, time to read again on Thursday LOL

As to your comment on social security recipients.
I posed this question to 10 or 12 of us who were having our morning coffee at a local eatery.
If there was a proven plan to stabilize S/S that called for all S/S recipients to take a 5% (an arbitrary number)cut for 10 years (also arbitrary) would you agree to it? I again repeated that this would guarantee S/S for the future.
Bear in mind that none of these people would be hurt by this. Almost all of them could be considered conservative.
Not one would agree to it.
I guess that reinforces the notion that we are in deep doo-doo.

The undeniable truth is that it is human nature to rationalize our desires, even our selfish desires. So even sexagenarians who have worked their entire adult lives and presumably accepted principles of personal responsibility, are unwilling in retirement to acknowledge that they are getting more as Social Security recipients than they gave as taxpayers.

So we, are as you say, in deep doo doo if even this class in our society is vulnerable to the siren song and will react vehemently in the polling booths to any perceived threat to their monthly payments. If these people with a reasonable history of contributing to society and self-reliance will vote their selfish interests, imagine a society populated with whole demographic sections that do not share the basic Horatio Alger myth. It is foreign to their cultural experience.

As the Democrats manage to flood America with immigrants who culturally simply do not share knowledge of and therefore commitment to the rule law, individual responsibility and capitalism, or the notion of a limited and constitutionally restricted government, America descends ever deeper into the doo doo.

The Democrat party is responsible for supplying these rationalizations as well as legislating our demographic destiny. When the rationalizations become a mountain rather than a few mole hills, it becomes impossible for the bulk of society to look the other way and pretend that we are operating a sensible political system. The Democrats must bring us to the point where Obama can enter from stage left and not just exploit the rationalizations but exploit the cynicism itself to wreck the system. At least 47% of Americans are saying, the system is corrupt and I am only interested in getting mine let the devil take the hindmost.

I believe this is what people betray who are ignorant of politics but who think they appear wise and sophisticated by saying, "all politicians are the same, they are all corrupt." At this point relativism becomes a modus vivendi and these cynics easily accept any rationalization which comes their way and succumb to the most selfish and ultimately self-destructive electoral results. In short, they vote Democrat.

So we are on a course of disintegration and there are very few stops along the line. Tuesday's election might be one of them if we win but it is a great deal to ask of one man to stand athwart the decline and fall of the American Empire and halt the decline.
