Romney will win Pennsylvania

Despite all the hype, it’s going to be a short election night. The Keystone State is the key reason. Pennsylvania will go for Governor Mitt Romney.
Reasonable prognosticators — and even the MSNBC crowd — will realize once the results are in from Pennsylvania that the other three time zones won’t matter.
Once upon a time, Pennsylvania was a pivotal swing state. But in recent years it has been reliably Democratic in presidential elections.
Certain other patterns have persisted as well. For example, the Pennsylvania governor’s mansion changes parties every eight years, with Democrats and Republicans swapping the residence.
But this presidential election is different. The Boston crowd has decided to compete for the state’s 20 electoral votes.
And it’s with good reason.
President Barack Obama simply isn’t working for culturally conservative Democrats in Western Pennsylvania and the proverbial “T” — which is Pennsylvania-speak for the entire state except the city of Philadelphia and the four counties (Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery) abutting the city.
Half of the NRA membership in the entire country is within a four-hour drive of Pittsburgh. These voters do, in fact, cling to their guns and religion.
Recent electoral results signal a Republican surge in the Commonwealth. Conservative Pat Toomey was elected to the Senate in 2010 despite the best efforts of the White House.
Republicans control 12 of Pennsylvania’s 18 congressional seats. In the crucial Philadelphia suburbs, Democrats were only able to offer token opposition to Congressmen Mike Fitzpatrick and Patrick Meehan this year.
In those critical counties near Philly, Governor Romney is a perfect fit for Independent and Republican women. Polls suggest there is no gender gap.
This election, voter intensity favors Republicans. Senator Bob Casey (of the Potted Plant Party) has his hands full with a challenge from businessman Tom Smith. Recent polls show that race is a toss-up.
Given all these factors, it’s no wonder Romney and his allies have started an air war. In fact, Republicans have spent enough money on ads in Pennsylvania in the past week to fund a solid, month-long ad campaign in the state.
So be prepared to go back to your regularly scheduled programming on Tuesday night. No need to stay up all night waiting for the results from the Midwest and Rocky Mountains.

I’m beginning to think that half of the voters living in this country actually DON’T WANT TO WORK.
Romney’s campaign emails are worded with confidence. The fact that he’s having a huge rally in Bucks County makes me think he believes he can carry the suburbs and thus the state.
I’m excited to see him on Sunday!

It would be nice to be able to get to sleep on Tuesday at a decent hour. I will rest very nicely with PA in the bag.
If you watch an Occupy Wall Street protest its not that hard to figure out..of course they don’t want to work..Obama voters want everything and I mean EVERYTHING handed to them..food..gas, housing, car, phone, everything supplied by the Govt because they think its their “right” to get free stuff
It would be nice, really nice for the first time in four years to actually go to bed with a smile on my face knowing our country is finally rid of this cancer

Unions have led it to decay; a vestige remains of it’s greatness.
Coal, iron ore and sweat won two World Wars.
I believed strongly until the last few days that Romney would win PA. The bad news is that a lot of volunteers are suddenly down for the count with no power and limited communication in northeast PA from Sandy and it has really damaged the GOTV efforts... if you live elsewhere in or near the state, please volunteer as much as possible!!! The election is so close here, it would be tragic to lose the state by a tiny margin :-(
One issue with an aggressive media is that others are afraid to share their opinion .
Like old soviet times. Everybody smiles and agrees with whatever’s said. Who wants conflict?
Well, I don't want to work, but I have a conscience that won't let me steal from my neighbors, so I work.
It's the immoral reprobates that don't want to work that you have to worry about.
I used to have an old “Wizard of Id” cartoon under the glass on my desk. I’ve managed to lose it somehow. It had one of the guys in his serf suit sitting at a desk in the horse stable. The desk had a “help wanted” sign on it. Another guy standing there in a serf suit asked him, “What kind of benefits come with this job?” The guy at the desk says, “You’ll be able to buy food.” LOL! I wish I could find that cartoon again.
If people are without power they’ll typically tend to blame their discomfort and annoyance at those currently in power. The failure to retore power quickly can actually redound to Romney’s benefit. Just as Bush was blamed for many bad things that happened during his administration, Zero will be blamed for this. And the fact that he did a fly-by photo op in NJ and then went begging for money in Vegas can’t be sitting well with people who don’t have a functioning light switch or refrigerator.
So let it be written, so let it be done!
McCain/Palin were all over PA last time. Bush also campaigned here. Romney seems to have basically ignored it except for one appearance a few weeks ago and now Sunday's appearance.
