(Vanity) Today I voted for a Republican for president, first time since Reagan.

I haven't voted for a Republican for president since Ronald Reagan in his reelection. I am an extremely staunch fiscally conservative independent. I've NEVER voted for a democrat, always gone 3rd party or written in a candidate.

It is very ironic that my first Republican vote in ages is for a super rino; BUT I WILL NOT ALLOW THAT MARXIST FRAUD TO CONTINUE OCCUPY THIS SACRED OFFICE FOR ANOTHER TERM.

I pray that, come Tuesday, God will have mercy on this blessed Republic.

Anybody so hard left that they were of the libertarian party, is a nut case.

Libertarian Party Platform:

Throw open the borders completely and shut down the Border Patrol and INS; only a rare individual (terrorist, disease carrier etc.) can be kept from freedom of movement through “political boundaries”.

Homosexuals; total freedom in the military, gay marriage, adoption, child custody and everything else.

Abortion; zero restrictions or impediments.

Pornography; no restraint, no restrictions.

Drugs; Meth, Heroin, Crack, and anything new that science can come up with, zero restrictions.

Advertising those drugs, prostitution, and pornography; zero restrictions.

Military Strength; minimal capabilities.

Good job. Now if you could convince the imbecile females in the US to do the same, the MArxist would be gone. If Obama wins, it will be thanks to brainless broads.

Repeal the 19th Amendment!

Hapax - I lived in California during the 2008 election (in Texas now), my vote did not those contribute to those leftist jurist appointments. Had I been in a swing state my vote would would have been different.

Ansel - that is exactly why I re-registered as an independent a decade ago. Too many isolationists in that party for me.

I have been a voter in Missouri since November 8, 1988, two days after my 18th birthday. I have always seen my duty was to assure the leftest candidate lost.

Yeah you have made it clear that it wasn't their radical leftism that turned you off, you still appear to be a hard core lefty on the social issues, still in support of their platform in post 22, with the exception of defense.

I am NOT left leaning on social issues, quite the opposite actually. I am most driven politically on economic issues. I side with the right on social issues, but social issues are not my greatest passion politically. I believe that spending more than you take in is immoral.

For some time I’ve said that Tuesday will be Chick-fil-A Day on steroids. And just to make the day complete, after I cast my vote for R-R, I’m going to enjoy a delicious lunch at Chick-fil-A. If peaches were still in season, I’d even say screw the calories, and have a milkshake, too.

The issues you list are exactly why I re-registered as an independent over a decade ago.

Best vanity ever.... well said.

With the help of the "Independents" we have a real chance of getting that marxist fraud out before he can push his anti liberty any more. We can not have that enemy of the Constitution picking any more Supreme Court nominations. Posts like yours are encouraging.

The libertarian party platform listed in post 22 has not changed, I don’t understand how people can embrace that radical of a platform, and join that party.

Partial birth abortion, ending the border patrol and INS, supporting the ENTIRE homosexual agenda, and all the rest.

And you are responsible for Stevens, Roberts and Souter. All pro Obamacare votes.

PS - I voted in California in those elections which was going dem regardless of my vote.

>> I haven't voted for a Republican for president since Ronald Reagan in his reelection. I am an extremely staunch fiscally conservative independent.

So, basically, your voting pattern has been:

Bush/Quayle '88 = UNACCEPTABLE
Bush/Quayle '92 = UNACCEPTABLE
Dole/Kemp = UNACCEPTABLE
Bush/Cheney 2000 = UNACCEPTABLE
Bush/Cheney 2004 = UNACCEPTABLE
McCain/Palin = UNACCEPTABLE
Romney/Ryan = YES WE CAN!

Well, I don't see your logic, but whatever floats your boat, buddy.
