Those old lever machines have paper tape that one could literally write votes onto, then slide the window shut then open the curtain lever which recorded the votes and stored the written tape votes for later counting. That was one way one could use to defeat the majic tumblers or weightings put into the lever machines

I worked early voting here. I do not understand the animosity towards the early voting. We had a tremendous turnout here in San Antonio. We were...are..very pleased.

The best argument against early voting is that these voters are, by definition, not in possession of as much information as the election day voters.

A lot of things can happen over the last three weeks of the campaign and, often, they can change one's mind. I refer to all the elective offices involved, not just the Presidency.

They are cheating because NC has more than just early voting. They combine it with same-day registration. In 2008, 1000s of people were shown to have signed up with fake addresses. By the time that was confirmed, the vote had been certified and could not be changed, if it ever would've been.

This is why the Republican commentator on FOX Campaign Insiders this week said he thinks Obama might win NC. It's open season for fraud and they've had more than 4 years now to figure out how to do it there.

Civitas Probe Shows Late Voter Registration Weakens NC’s Already Shaky Election System

Someone also posted this from a NC voter who said on Facebook he's voted numerous times for Obama so far.

Okay. Those are valid points, okie. Makes sense. But alot here I guess had made up their minds. I am in Bexar County in San Antonio. We had almost 350,000 votes cast in a county that has around 940,000 registered voters. That will help Tuesday. But I do thank you for that answer. Makes alot of sense.

I prefer they be sealed and not counted until after the polls close on tuesday.

Mandatory min. of 20 years in prison should be the punishment for ANYBODY participating in voter fraud We could actually make it so strict that we could even trust voting through the US mail.

It's the penalty that can help stop voter fraud.

Where did you get that photo? I searched quickly on facebook for Jim Turner but did not find that particular profile. (I didn’t spend that much time looking though)

It should be posted everywhere

liberals would never investigate or charge liberals for voter fraud.

The idea only works when honest people are in charge

The NC website.

Texas early voting in the 15 most populated counties through Thursday at the following link. Friday was the last day of in-person early voting but the data isn't published. I suspect Texas will be over 40% when all is accounted for.

Texas data

In-Person 3,181,776 36.77%

Absentee 219,020

Total 3,400,796 39.30%

The Civitas Institute is a conservative funded organization funded by business man John W. Pope. Pope is much maligned by the former dem machine which has run things rather poorly in NC for over 100 years.... no MORE though.

A major demographic in NC is the black social conservative vote— handily defeating gay marriage in the last state election. obamao and guv. perdue (who is not running for re-election after a scandal ridden admin.) were big time on the stump for gay marriage, and traditional Christians were hugely offended. And it is the Christians who will turn out, and also-— for Romney.
