MSNBC President Apologizes after Matthews Calls Koch Brothers ‘Pigs’
Free Beacon ^ | 11/2/12 | staff

Posted on 11/02/2012 3:41:37 PM PDT by Nachum

MSNBC president Phil Griffin apologized Thursday after host Chris Matthews called Charles and David Koch “pigs” in a segment with Rep. Ed Markey Wednesday.

Griffin apologized for Matthews’ “crass language” to Mark Holden, general counsel for Koch Industries, Inc., according to Newsbusters. Griffin said that Matthews would not be required to apologize to the Kochs.

In the exchange Wednesday, Matthews called the Kochs “pigs,” and said he is in the “business of name calling,” after Princeton professor Michael Oppenheimer declined to join Matthews:

MARKEY: The Koch brothers want Romney, and Romney has promised, to roll back those fuel economy incentives. It endangers the planet. And it’s going to endanger young men and women who have to go to the Middle East to import the oil from there rather than backing it (ph).

MATTHEWS: Well, Professor Oppenheimer, back in the ‘60s, we called such people pigs. Pigs. No, really, they don’t care about the planet, they don’t care about the destruction of war. All they want is what they got, their stuff. And they want more of it. Is that what we’re facing here, just greed? I’m not talking about the guy working in the coalmine. That’s hard work. I’m talking about people who won’t listen to you, won’t listen to science because they want more stuff.

Mathews and the rest of the fanatical left are showing their true colors as being crude and vulgar. It will get worse over the next 4 days until Romney is elected on Tuesday. At that point they will self implode and curl up in a fetal position, claiming vote fraud. Mathews sold his soul for the low cost bidder MSNBC.....

Alcoholism is a progressive illness.

I have speculated here for some time that Matthews' problems are the result of early onset dementia. If he is also an alcoholic, he won't be on the air too much longer, because he will become progressively (snort) more and more incoherent until he becomes an embarrassing freak show. Even shameless MSNBC lives and dies by ratings.

It goes beyond alcoholism, probably to dementia. He is one sick dude. The whole left wing in America is unhinged. Long time friends of the liberal persuasion are off the charts nuts over this election. I am keeping my cool and will decide after the election is over whether they are ‘friends’ or just ‘people I know.’

Now that’s funny! Prior to 2001, before my cable provider carried FOX News, MSNBC seemed preferable to CNN, so I was reduced to watching that crazy b@$tard. While he was clearly a Leftie, he sorta tried to keep it between the curbs back then.

I’m talking about people who won’t listen to you, won’t listen to science because they want more stuff.

This is what annoys me about Chrissie. To my knowledge, he doesn't possess a hard science degree (I have two) and he says that we don't "listen to science" b/c we don't agree with him.

I'd love the opportunity one day to ask him what his credentials are for passing a dismissive judgment on people like me.

The apology means nothing as Mathews Employer MSNBC has not fired him yet.

Mathews has done this same stunt far to often and he’s has been given a free pass.

That’s one apology I would Not accept.

If Chrissy were more confident of an Obama win, he would be more relaxed. This level of anger indicates that he's feeling Obama will lose.

There was an episode not long ago with that lesbo Maddow. I can’t remember what it was about but you could tell she had eaten her Wheaties, stayed up the entire night before and was hunkered in for a long night. But whatever it was, it was over in just a few minutes and she was absolutely stunned. She apparently hadn’t planned on whatever it was (wish I could remember!) being over so quickly and didn’t have Plan B so she was scrambling with her guests.

I only tuned in to see her meltdown. It was like seeing Holy Water thrown in the devil’s face. Her jaw kept dropping and you could see the wheel’s spinning as she tried to process a total failure on her show. Good times. Heh.

Back in the mid-90s MSNBC was actually a decent channel to watch.

Hardball was actually a sane chat show too.

Now I wont even watch a 30 second clip of either on YouTube.
