Sponsors and participants pulled out of the marathon. Bloomers was irrelevant.

I know..I know...we Texans are not special...still. We do love Texas.

Horseshit! I'll tell you why you're wrong. If a Yankee said something that wrong about his home state like Jersey, they'd call the Sheriff.

As a God fearing Texan, we don't call LEOs. I'm presently assembling a posse to run up I35 to set your mind right, sir.

We Are Different! Learn it and Love it!

Well hope you’re doing okay. So do people in the boroughs vote for mayor or only NYC people?

I’m sure the odds are growing that the NFL will postpone Sunday’s Giants-Steelers game at the Meadowlands, too.

They always do this to try to take the heat off the really awful things they do.

Glad to see he woke up to reality. Will it be rescheduled or simply not be run this year?

Though football is the LAST concern in this mess, why the NFL just doesn’t relocate the game to Heinz Field is beyond me.

It is funny and ironic that “conservatives” are cheering on one of the most socialistic/populistic outcry since Katrina.

Let me get the logic: there are people who are affected by the hurricane, so stop all activity otherwise that might be “insensitive”. How about you all stop going to restaurants because there are hobos who go to sleep hungry. How about you stop going to the movies because there are unemployed people struggling to make end’s meet. How about you stop going on vacation because it might be insensitive to the poor inner city children who have to live by a crumbling neighborhood.

This insanity has infected conservatives. They have become compassionate conservatives.

The city is made up of the Boroughs, with Staten Island being the only Borough with a Republican Borough President and they also voted McCain/Palin in 2008. So basically Bloomberg and Obama could care less about these people. And yet many of the first responders that protect the city live on Staten Island because they can't afford to live in the parts of the city they work.

You didn’t get the logic. It wasn’t a touchy, feely, compassionate for show issue. It made no sense to devote even one iota of resource to this marathon given the current situation in the metropolitan New York City area.

Too long enough. Nothing as painful for a lib as admitting they were wrong.
