They’re trying to re-create what happened in 2008 without considering what happened in 2010...

Amen!...At their own peril!...They will be slaughtered!

in 2008 the Democrats got out 10 million more voters than did the Republicans.

In 2010 the Democrats got out 30 million fewer voters than they did in 2008.

In 2010 the Republicans got out 15 million fewer voters than they did in 2008.

In 2006 ~ which is comparable to 2008, the Republicans lost the House to the Democrats over the issue of sexual deviancy and deviates in the Republican party.

In 2012 Romney's first appointment of a foreign policy spokesman/analyst almost lost the election for everybody because that spokesman was an outspoken homosexual fanatic.

Those 24 million 'values voters' can control every election if they want to. The Democrats don't want them to control any election so they'll do anything they can, including cross over into Republican primaries to vote for unacceptable candidates, to convince the 'values voters' to stay away.

Although it looks like the voting public has a double standard when it comes to holding Republicans and Democrats accountable for sexual misbehavior or misjudgment, the cold hard facts are the Democrat voters have a single standard and they simply don't care what anybody does. The Republicans have a large number of 'values voters' and they hold Republicans accountable by NOT VOTING FOR THEM. Doesn't mean they turn around and vote for the Democrats, but in 2006 they simply didn't show up and Nancy Polosi and her gang of geeks were put in charge of things.

The lesson is pretty clear ~ Republican candidates do not get a greater share of the vote by catering to homosexuals and their running dog lackeys. In fact, they lose Republican voters. The Democrats continue to vote for Democrats.
