If You Can't Withstand Media BS, Turn Off Everything Else...(Rush Slams Concern Trolls Alert)
Rush Limbaugh ^ | 11/01/2012 | Rush Limbaugh

Posted on 11/01/2012 11:20:19 AM PDT by goldstategop

RUSH: Folks, I'm gonna give you some advice. For those of you who are faint of heart, for those of you who scare easily, for those of you who... Let’s say you live in St. Louis. In the St. Louis Post-Dispatch today there are two pictures. There's a picture of a compassionate and caring and very attached and very hurting Obama, hugging a New Jerseyan who's lost everything. Right next to it is a picture of Romney in front of a large gathering waving and doing campaign appearances.

Of course, the juxtaposition is Romney doesn't care; Obama cares. If you live in St. Louis and you're conservative, you look at that and think, “Oh, my God. Oh, it's finished. It's over with. See, that's what Christie did. That's what Christie did for us. We don't have a chance.” If you’re like that, turn it off! I don't want you reading the Internet. I don't want you watching television.

I don't want you doing anything that is going to affect your turnout.

If you scare easily, if you're looking for reasons to be upset, if you're not confident anyway, stay away from the Internet and television starting now. Just come here every day from noon to three, and I – with no reason to lie to you -- will tell you what's up. I've always told you: “I will tell you when it's time to panic.” It is not time to panic. So... (interruption) Well, yeah, if you get too angry, too.

No, no, no, I don't care about anger. I don't care about that. I just don't want turnout affected. It's a turnout election now, pure turnout.

There’s not a whole lot of persuading left that can be done, do you think? Most of the persuasion has taken place. Ah, maybe some of the undecideds, you never know, but it's a turnout race now. So if you're gonna watch stuff on the Internet and television that's gonna depress you, don't.

Just don't turn it on.

RUSH: You know at this press conference last night with Governor Christie (continuing in his role as Greek column of President Obama) was saying that the first thing they had to do was get gasoline into the state. By the way, folks, Jonah Goldberg, our old buddy at National Review Online, had a pretty good take here. He said, “The irony here is exquisite. Obama does his job for a couple days ago and everybody yells, ‘Game-changer!’”

How many of you...? I know you're out there. You called here yesterday. I get e-mails from you. “Rush, it's over. It's over! Did you see that? The press and Christie, they're helping Obama look presidential,” and I tried to explain that the fundamentals of this election are deeper than this. But the real point to be made here is: So the guy acts presidential and does his job for a couple days and everybody says game-changer?

Wait a second. In addition to that, what game-changer? I thought he had it wrapped up anyway. Nate Silver says it's over: 51-48 Obama, a 79% chance. Let's see. Pew says it's over. CBS/New York Times says it's over. I mean, they're not saying this, but with their polling they're trying to make everybody think it's over. What game changer? Why's everybody get so hot to trot that Obama did his job for a couple days?

A, it logically means that people instinctively know he hasn't been doing anything that amounts to anything for a long time. The second thing is: If he's gonna win anyway, why do you need to change the game? What game-changer? See, the left (and even Obama himself, if you listen carefully) and the media, if you listen carefully, will tell you that they fear Obama is losing. They'll tell you they think Romney's surging.

Not in those words. It's little things like this. Obama acts presidential. He gets a picture, a picture hugging a woman in New Jersey, and “Oh, no, it's over! Oh, no, it's a game-changer.” He's supposed to be doing that every day. And I'll tell you something else. This is just me. Obama went to New Jersey with Chris Christie, but in Queens and even in parts of New Jersey -- Hoboken, in lower Manhattan -- nobody's doing anything.

I don't know if they're calling anybody and getting straight through or not. But don't forget, Obama goes out and basically admits the government is not functioning. He's gotta give special orders for the government to freaking function. When Romney says, “I want to do that every day,” Obama says, “Yeah, taking us back to the problems that got us into this mess.”

But for every woman that Obama hugged in New Jersey are 15,000 people in line for a gallon of gasoline for their generators in New Jersey and Queens and so forth.

That's what, I mean. If this stuff is gonna upset you, don't watch it.

Turn the TV off now.

Stop watching the MSM! Stop listening to concern trolls!

Its not over like Nate Silver and the MSM want you to think.

Conservatives shouldn't panic. Now is the time for steady nerves and determination! You folks are gonna need them in spades!

There is nothing short of 6 feet of dirt oer my dead body that could keep me from voting against that bastard on November 6th. Hell, if I die before then and I can sneak away from old Scratch for a bit, I’ll vote against Obama!

God bless you, Gaffer. We are all going to show up with more than enthusiasm. This is mortal combat and a mission with a fuse, like a rocket! Oh yes, we will be firing on all cylinders.

Broken glass at Mach 10.

I had a dear aunt die this past June. She was ultra conservative and despised Obama like no other. At her funeral, a cousin got up to tell the congregation that all she wanted was to live long enough to vote against Obama.” Well, he said I think we’ve found a way to make that possible, we’re shipping her body to Chicago”.

By this weekend with people in NY and NJ runnng out of food and gas, and looters on the move, the obama adminstration and obama’s FEMA should face the same criticism the left threw at George Bush

Fact is there is NO adult running this show, as Bush and Giuliani did during 9-11

Bloomberg and Christie can take a 747 planeload of obama-cash and drop it over the countryside but people will still be in misery

Imagine what Romney, Trump and other experienced crisis managers would be marshalling as a group, if they were in power to do so

Concern trolls are just bored people that cant keep away from media outlets.

Saw them during the Recall Election. All day just going on about wild conspiracy theories of union thugs being bused in from Detroit and California to “steal” the election or looking at every report trying to find some clue as to what is going on, but always jumping on the most negative crap to scream that the “fix is in”.

What they need to get is that the Romney people have the most sophisticated GOTV machines anyone has ever seen. They are flushed with cash, and are running like clockwork, and an election that was called for Obama a month ago is now turning into a Romney rout.

So turn off the TV, and do something productive, and remember to vote.

Ha ha (not her passing, the cousin’s remark)

Myself, I’d have ordered an absentee ballot for her.

Rush is right. We are not in the position to need to panic. We know what we need to do, we'll show up and take care of business on Tuesday. We don't need the media or a statistician to tell us what we are going to do - we already know. Most Conservatives are reserved, hard working and spout their intentions to the first microphone that is shoved in their face or the first robocall that wants an opinion poll - we are too busy working and keeping what is left of America's economic engine for all that crap. We do, however, show up when it is time to work. That time is Tuesday.

Make certain that we are focused, not thin skinned, not easily deterred by crapaganda. On Tuesday, take yourself and AT LEAST one other person to the polls. That's it - easy as pie. We've got this won, we just need to show up and claim our victory for America.

Yes, turn off everyone but Rush. He is the only one we can trust to be right ALL THE TIME. Extend your 24/7. Disconnect your cable TV.

I wonder what happened to those who took this advice four years ago Oct 31, 2008.

Rush is right. Millions of liberals finding out for the first time how inept the federal government really is. And as they're sitting in 2 hour gas lines or in their cold NYC apartments, they're realizing exactly who it is who wants to take their guns away. I think this hurricane is going to suppress the liberal vote in NYC, Long Island, and New Jersey. I think it may even have turned a few of them into conservatives.

This area of the country is not the lazy, do nothing libs. These are many well educated, hard working liberals - the ones who look down on conservatives as Bible beaters and rednecks. All of a sudden, these well to do libs are looking around and seeing government inefficiency and wishing they had a gun.

Rush isn’t right ALL the time.

He got the 2008 Obama landslide wrong - just beware he’s not a prophet and we do fail at such prognostications.

Its a lesson that Gallup is usually right! Ignore it to your peril.

I heard this and thought how ridiculous it is. This is the kind of overblown crap that makes the wishy washy stay home and think their vote doesn’t count. Will there be cheating? I’m sure there will. Will it determine who wins? No way.

When you're in California, you don't see spit from the GOP most years, and I haven't seen a thing from Romney. How am I supposed to know?
