Report: ‘Fast and Furious’ failures at the top were ignored - Lawmakers want to see changes
Washington Times ^ | October 29, 2012 | Jerry Seper

The Justice Department has yet to confront widespread management failures in the botched Fast and Furious gunrunning investigation or to order operational changes that would prevent future “disasters” from occurring, two senior Republican lawmakers who first questioned the federal probe said Monday.

Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and Rep. Darrell E. Issa of California, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, said the Justice Department had taken only “limited action” against lower-level managers.

“Officials in the Justice Department saw any number of warnings and some even had the gun-walking information right in front of them, yet nothing was done to stop it,” Mr. Grassley said. “Countless people may be murdered with these weapons, yet the attorney general appears to be letting his employees slide by with little to no accountability.

“The attorney general needs to make changes to ensure that department leadership provides oversight of the agencies they are tasked with supervising, instead of pointing fingers at somebody else,” he said. Their concerns are outlined in a report issued Monday that concludes that the Fast and Furious operation was not a strictly local investigation conceived by a rogue Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives‘ office in Phoenix, but rather the “product of a deliberate strategy created at the highest levels of the Justice Department aimed at identifying the leaders of a major gun trafficking ring.”

The report says this strategy, along with institutional inertia, led to the genesis, implementation and yearlong duration of Fast and Furious...

The only changes that will fix this problem will take place on Tuesday, November 6th. We must change who is in the oval office and replace that person with a person who is of American decent.

That is the only fix that will solve this issue.

I also hope that an investigation will take place after Odumbo is out of office and that they find Holder and Odumbo guilty of murder of the two officers and the hundreds of Mexican civilians.

Arrrrrgggghhhhhhhh! The dreaded double post.

Sorry guys. When I posted the first one it said that it couldn’t connect to the server and I did a refresh and this is what happened.

FR is really getting slow and painful. I even did the things Jim suggested we do to speed up our sessions. They worked to a limited degree. Seems that I’m still getting the failures to connect and timing out, plus very slow loading of various functions on here.

Is this what it has come too?

Either of these Scandals (Libya or Fast & Furious) is impeachable and truly treasonous.

Yet, it is ignored by the MSM. People have have been killed and yet it is ignored for Political points.

GAG!

Also you think someone like Ubama, who is friends with the likes of Billy Ayers gives two S&%!s about Americans or Mexicans dying?

Yeah, the answer is "No"

Fast and Furious was not “botched”. It did exactly what Obama and his butt boy Holder wanted it to do.

I'm having similar problems. I check to see if it posted in the window that I usually use for my searches on this forum. It usually did post as intended.

That racist and murderer Holder should have been indicted already, but our gutless Republican House is playing patty-cake.

It’s getting real close to talking about permanent separation from the criminal fascist syndicate occupying Washington. The projections are that conservatives and patriots will control 32 states after this election. That’s near the number needed to call a states convention and abolishing the fascist federal government.

(A states convention is different from a constitutional convention. A states convention birthed the federal government in 1787. A states convention in 2013 can abolish the federal government.)

Bengazi would NOT have happened if Congress hadn’t slept through Fast and Furious.

THE WRONG MEN FOR THE JOB.
