Due to posting restrictions, see article at link. Here is a historically liberal Oregon newspaper in Salem, Oregon endorsing Romney.

Truly amazing for this Oregonian to see!! However, they did this on a Wednesday rather than in a Sunday paper.

So many disconnects in this election. Its hard to imagine this many editorial boards in this many blue states thumbs downing Obama. I know the left is saying they are doing to save their papers. But the left is always saying the right are a bunch of morons so how could they possibly know how to read a newspaper or even what its for other than wrapping fish.

Well, good for the newspaper editors! They have brains and loyalty to America.

This is a test of the GOP voters’ wisdom in selecting (what I would, anyway, call) a liberal candidate to run against BHO. I had preferred a couple of the other (more conservative) candidates but I got out-voted in the primary. OK, we now have Messrs. Romney and Ryan, two men who appear to be intelligent, capable, and loyal to the USA. The Republicans who favored Romney kept saying he will attract a wider spectrum of (more liberal) support in the general election next week. Pray that this proves correct!

Smaller newspapers might still care about winning the respect and loyalty of their readers. That might be the case here. The paper is connected to their readers.

Larger papers - papers more out of touch with the readers and roots - move toward winning ‘prizes’ like Pulitzers. Prizes awarded bases on stories highlighting liberal elite memes.

It's nice to see papers showing some backbone - and standing up to the New York Times.

Look at the mess Romney will inherit and you will see liberals just blaming him over the next four years.

A close friend in Oregon told me last week that there are “NO” Bam Bam signs or posters where she lives in Oregon!!! They are practically non-existent in Northern CA.

I agree. I’m in the SF Bay Area and haven’t seen any O/B stickers on cars. Four years ago they were everywhere. There were a lot of vocal “Obama Mamas” too, and I haven’t even heard that term this time. I think CA has a lot of silent R/R fans.....
