Hurricane Sandy brought out the worst yesterday in some sleazy New Yorkers, who looted stores and homes across the city.

Some posed as Con Ed workers to dupe their victims.

Police arrested more than a dozen looters in the Rockaways and Coney Island, which had been evacuated, and stood guard outside ravaged stores at the South Street Seaport.

AIT: And so, it begins.

Not really. Same crap, different day.

Day before the storm, the government was taking confiscatory taxes on sales, earnings and savings (through inflation.)

Day after the storm, the looters are cutting out the middleman.

It is going to get MUCH uglier and the media will report it less and less because they want to paint a ROSY pic of everything being sunshine and unicorns under Obama’s control of FEMA and other agencies vs Bush-Katrina.

*** Well, when you disarm the citizens you can kind of expect this kind of BS. Remember the Korean merchants during the R King Olympics? ***

Something else occurred during the 'R King Olympics' (that's a good one, btw). It got very little press, naturally.

When the R King Olympians were doing their thing more than a few Hollywood liberals were worried that the 'Olympic Events' would spread to their ritzy areas and now they wanted 'protection'.

But none could protect themselves as they were all very very anti-gun. So who'd they call for help -- Chuck Heston!! Begging him to loan them one of his guns. Heston told them in no uncertain terms, NO. They brought the danger on themselves with their gun control bs, so deal with it.

I read that in an NRA magazine and loved every word of it.

Obama’s voting base is getting an early start on redistributing the wealth.

Easy solution. Shoot one looter, and string him up from a light pole on your block with a placard around his neck saying “This is what we do to looters on this block”.

They’ll move to the next block, guaranteed.

Don’t kid yourself, you’ve got the exact same nature inside of you. Maybe you have tamed it and keep it under lock and key, but it’s there.

One of the biggest mistakes liberals make is to fool themselves into thinking that they can transform people and get rid of these base elements of human nature. That’s the essential mistake that leads them on all their utopian wild goose chases. So, please, don’t start down that slippery slope.

I lost a couple of signs to thieves during a special election here. The replacements were surrounded with relatively fresh examples of canine excrement, just so the next thief could mess up their shoes (and hopefully car and/or home carpet). The signs stayed put.

Heck, in Japan the victims were probably out checking on their neighbors and starting the clean up as soon as it was marginally safe.

And get life in prison or at the very least lose your life savings in lawyers' fees - especially if the looter is one of 0bama's sons. Look at George Zimmerman's reward for shooting saint Skittles. The police and the prosecutors will consider YOU the criminal. The police the only ones allowed to go around killing people without any consequences.

The current environment of the Internet, twitter, etc., will make it less likely that looting and violence will go underreported. The flash mob phenomenon has come to public awareness through alternative media. The audience for the MSM has been dwindling for over 20 years. Even conservative talk radio is on a declining curve in the last few years. During the Rodney King riots in Los Angeles, there were numerous smaller scale riots in other cities, which you only heard about if you talked to police officers. The local media did not cover them. Similar outbreaks would receive widespread coverage in alternative media; local MSM and talk radio blackouts would be less successful now.

I routinely rub poison ivy on my yard signs. Just have to remember to wear disposable gloves when I remove them :-)

A disaster always brings out the worst of human nature. People begin looting and stealing!

We found that in the Disaster of Jan 20, 2009 when Obama took over the government.
He and his cabinet of crooks, thieves and tax dodgers looted the treasury and stole all they could from the minority who still pay taxes.
