The writer misses a possibility
Maybe the Republicans are buying ads in Michigan because they think they can win the state. There is a good argument for not just winning but winning big. This is not a football game where running up the score is unsportsmanlike. Romney needs to win big because that will force the left to shut up. One of the reasons Reagan could be Reagan was because nobody doubted he won the election.
Additionally if the demonrats have to pad the vote in Michigan and Minnesota then they run out of stooges to cheat with in Iowa and Ohio
Doesn’t MI have a large number of Muslims living there? I’m pretty sure that Mitt won’t get their votes.

I think both of those are valid. If the Rats are spending huge voter fraud resources (both bodies and money) in Detroit, just to make sure they take Michigan, there will be that much less available to carry out their fraud in neighboring states.

With several members of the black leadership referring to the Prez as “Bath House Barry”, and encouraging others to ‘stay home’ on election day, it is surprising we haven’t seen panic ads here in Rahmabad.
Wow.. running ads in Detroit smells like desperation.

Neither side has a money advantage at this point. Obama is getting all kinds of money from god knows where and we will never know. But he won’t be outspent. Another article provides more sober reason for Romney expanding the map. Quite frankly he has more money than there is air time in Ohio and Wisconsin.
Detroit is a given. Suburbs are not.
The Detroit TV doesn’t reach into Toledo? Aren’t they only about 40 miles apart?
No. Michigan is about 1% Muslim.
