The latest congressional report on Operation Fast and Furious found that the gunwalking-program-turned-scandal was the result of a “deliberate strategy created at the highest levels of the Justice Department aimed at identifying the leaders of a major gun trafficking ring.”
The report is the second installment in a three-part series from Senate Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Sen. Chuck Grassley and House oversight committee Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa.
That “deliberate strategy,” congressional investigators argue, sprang from “a series of speeches about combating violence along the Southwest border” that Attorney General Eric Holder delivered shortly after taking office.

Right - it was never about drug cartels - it was about targeting gun distributors here in the USA.

Having read another thread on this earlier today I hope I’m wrong, but it appears to me that Grassley/Issa and company are handing Holder a plate of soft boiled likely story.
I don’t believe this was as proposed in the excerpt above, but as many of us originally suspected, and that was to establish, or rather create false evidence for the purpose of instigating gun control.

The reason Holder wanted to get to the guys at the 'top' of the cartels, is so he could make a deal with them.
Obama and Calderon had already met and agreed that they could not control the cartels, and were taking lots of collateral damage.
Areas along the Arizona border have already been ceded to the cartels. There are even signs up stating so.
It was about the drug cartels. It was about planning to let the cartels roam the North American Continent freely. To allow that, the government needs to take away the guns from the citizens.
So when are they going to impeach Holder?
It was about taking our guns away as step one to dictatorship. Obamacare, giving GM to unions with public money, crony capitalism, irs audits, all part of the plan.
Mexico has Drug Cartels. Afghanistan has Drug Cartels/Tribes.
Mexico received arms from Fast and Furious.
Did Obama make a deal to pull out of Afghanistan in exchange for arms?
Did ‘Benghazi” Obama make an arms deal with Libya?
BTW, since the only things that the US Federal Government actually makes are arms and ammunition, maybe ‘Benghazi’ Obama just wants to trade arms for his safe vacation home back in Kenya? Who knows, he may even rake in enough to build his own golf course?
Obama is not interested in votes, otherwise why would he have flown to Sin City, Nevada on Sept 12 th, instead of sitting in his often-empty Oval Office Chair?
BTW, how much would Obama’s Personal Private Jet bring on the Fast and Furious Market?
These guys NEVER intended to actually DO anything about this murderous scandal. They are using this scandal to promote their own celebrity status. Holder should be behind bars by now. I'm done with these career politicians.

Where did I say that. You're gettin' your posts mixed up. I was just pointing out that like ALL politicians, he's just another turd!
No, we must primary them, but make it known why they are being fired. These people are so full of themselves they just can't let it go. We expect and demand accountability and all we got was self inflating career politician egos.
What's worse is that they exposed the BATFE and the justice department in an all out attempt to subvert the constitution of the Unites States and they did nothing. American citizens have died. Many Mexican citizens have died. Yet absolutely no accountability. Will the BATFE have ANY fear of wrongdoing in the future? Of course not! When crimes go unpunished you get more and more of the same.
What more did you expect out of them... I think they put a wonderful spotlight on how the Democrats obstruct justice.

I think within the intel community, it is 'given' that they know exactly WHO the big guys are.
In addition, some of the cartel leaders are making TV shows and bragging about it.
The issue isn't 'knowing' who they are, but gaining a 'receptive channel' to 'certain proposals'.

They put a spotlight on the fact that Democrats can commit crimes, obstruct justice, and flat out get away with it.
So expect more innocent people to die and greater more outragious illegal activity from Democrat officials and rogue agencies like the BATFE.
And if Issa’s committee had held their tongue as you would have them do, nobody would even care enough to try to get rid of the blighters. You are insinuating that light, when the political situation renders anything more impossible, is a Bad Thing.
No what I'm saying is when you finally shed light on corrupt or all out illegal activity which is the nature of fast and furious you MUST hold those responsible accountable otherwise you tell the world to have no fear because nothing will happen to you if you get caught. Before Issa made a huge deal of this crime at least the perps had some question as to their fate if they got caught. If you open pandoras box as Issa did you must be prepared to follow through with it. Issa and company clearly have no intention on holding Eric Holder accountable to the crimes he has committed. So now the next Obama and the Next Eric Holder will have even less fear of the law or of any consequences to illegal activity.
So you are insinuating it’s better to leave Pandora’s box shut, and by implication we little people here should never be afforded a view into it.
