Republican Mitt Romney is standing behind Indiana Senate hopeful Richard Mourdock as President Barack Obama's campaign keeps up criticism of Romney's ties to a candidate who said pregnancies that result from rape are "something God intended."

Romney's campaign has said he disagreed with Mourdock's remark, which came in a debate Tuesday with his opponent, Rep. Joe Donnelly. But Romney is standing by his endorsement of Mourdock - and not asking the Indiana state treasurer to take down an ad Romney filmed Monday in support.

True. Rape is Rape.

And if they want to put the rapist to death, so be it.

But why should the baby be given the death penalty? Did the baby rape the woman?

Lots of things don’t make sense to Obama. And by the way, not one time has the Republican EVER suggested that rape isn’t a crime.

Obama is a preening fool for pretending to care about women. He has overseen the subjection of MILLIONS of women being thrust into unemployment, poverty, and government dependence.

When someone asks a Republican Candidate if they support Abortion in the case of Rape or Incest. The Candidate should reply,
"I'll answer that question after you tell me if there is any case of Abortion that you do not support up to and including Infanticide?"

It’s a horrible position to be in, and one I’d imagine that is extremely rare.......

One can fully understand why any women would not want a child fathered by someone that had raped her, but ultimately I agree with you, and I used to be pro choice in my younger years (I’m only 25 now but a fast learner!), but the innocent child should not be punished.

Ultimately ALL life is a blessing from God.

Why is it the media/left like to make a big deal out of this uncommon scenario, yet the day to day murder of perfectly viable life, contraception in the form abortion is perfectly passable? The question was rhetorical btw.

Democrats never have to explain why they think it is okay for a normal healthy pregnancy to be terminated in an abortion.

Totally right....the problem with the pro life political representation is that they allow themselves to be cornered and criticized....in reality, a wise smart, strong proponent of the pro life cause would turn the question on its head in the way you demonstrate.

I truely believe the real problem is people are so poorly educated as to what an abortion actually is, what it involves and just how common that is. If they were, the shock at comments on the matter would be directed at the ‘pro choice’ movement. Who would have thought, 50 years ago, murdering innocent life would be used as a form of birth control. In China maybe, but not the civilized Christian world.

Over here, government funded studies on abortion are conducted by COMPANIES CARRYING OUT ABORTIONS PAID FOR BY GOVERNMENT!!! Nobody asks any questions of this. The whole world has gone mad.

The same apologists years ago would have been making the case that the Nazi death camps weren’t so bad really....stupid people have loud mouths. The very worst are the faux Christian politicians....pro choice Catholics? It’s an oxymoron. The same infiltrators have bought the Church over here to its knees and they’ll do the same to you too.

Romney’s internals must look decent at this point for him to stand by Mourdock.

Mourdock is an idiot, but he will vote the right way and not be a problem in the Senate.
I live in Indiana and I will vote for him even though I wish that we had picked someone not so moronic.
