Brown says if Republicans gain control of the Senate, Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., the current minority leader, will still have to "earn my vote."

Support McConnell? Nah, I am so cynical it is just about what is in it for him or his constituency, just like he held out for 2 weeks on "Dodd-Frank" until certain Boston Based Investment Houses got what they wanted.

I tdoes matter. The Majority leader controls what legislation is brought up for votes. It is because the Democrats are in the majority that we haven’t had a budget in almost 4 years and most of the House passed legislation isn’t even brought up for a vote in the Senate.
Scott Brown is no conservative, but this is pure campaign rhetoric. He’s in the middle of a tough fight to keep his seat, and this is the stuff that Massachusetts senators have to say to distinguish themselves from the view of republicans that massachusetts sheeple have been brainwashed to believe.
That said, will Brown actually side with a liberal program if it needs his vote? He has and he will again.
Scott Brown is a liberal Democrat at worst or a RINO at best. Funny calling the kettle black as if he thinks McConnell is some kind of conservative tea party guy. McConnell is a RINO Republican, just not as far left as good old Scottie boy.

Scott needs a good chunk of Mass. Obama voters to vote for him instead of the Fake Indian. He needs a big chunk of Registered Democrat ticket-splitters to beat her. He’s in a tough spot with Warren getting all the out-of-state money and union organization, so the more he comes off as Independent and less of a Party man, the better chance he has.
OF COURSE he’ll vote to repeal Obamacare. That’s what he ran on in the first place! Sheesh.
Some people have absolutely no idea what it takes for a Republican (and what kind) to win in a deep-blue state. Scott Brown votes with Republicans a majority of the time, and Elizabeth Warren is one of the worst, most ideologically-committed leftists to ever run for statewide office in Massachusetts. She’s a disaster waiting to happen, and if she gets in, we’ll never be rid of her.
Brown needs to win, and badly. For everyone’s sake.

I’ve been around long enough to recognize how the game is being played. Any time the GOP threatens to get a majority, a RINO flips and becomes a democrat or votes with them to preserve Beltway unity against the people.
Repealing the 17th amendment would fix that problem in a hurry because any senatard who did it would be gone immediately with his replacement appointed and seated immediately
No you got this all wrong he has to say that because Warren is campaining on the fact that if she does not get elected that the senate as whole may be republican.

Brown can vote the Democrats 100% of the time, once he is in office. You may not like it, but that's not his most important vote in the next Congress.
But on the first day of the new Senate, he will either get to pick the Majority Leader, or the Minority Leader.
The results of the Brown/Warren race may determine whether the Majority leader is Harry Reid, or a Republican.
Which would you prefer?
At least in my district we have a conservative running for state rep., Jason Petritas.
Too bad he finds politics so distasteful. Perhaps he should find another line of work. I would be upset at his attitude, but it is Massachusetts and I really couldn't care less about them.
Brown will not win in Massachusetts unless he can convince 15% of the voters who vote for Obama to split their ballot and vote for him.
Bottom line this is the most conservative candidate in Massachusetts that can win. This is a state who’s going to overwhelmingly reelect Obama despite their own former governor running against him. We need to be realistic. Half a loaf is better than none. And a RINO is better than a commie. The best situation is to have enough conservative Senators so Brown isn’t the deciding vote on anything.

Part of Brown’s gift is sounding like a bit of a simpleton. Yes, it’s painful to actually listen to him, but he has a chance of holding ‘Teddy Kennedy’s seat’, which makes him very valuable and a very skillful pol. Note, he was a quick and skillful debater against Warren.
I do think he will help repeal Obamacare. He was originally elected because he opposes Obamacare.
