Joe Biden Gets a Side Order of Negativity on His Lunch Break

While campaigning this afternoon, Vice President Joe Biden stopped by Schmucker’s Restaurant in Toledo, Ohio for a piece of pie. However, Mr. Biden may have gotten more than he bargained for at the restaurant. While he was eating, Mr. Biden found himself in conversation with another patron who was clearly eager to see the vice president and his running mate, President Barack Obama, lose the election and leave the White House. According to the press pool report by Politico’s Donovan Slack, Mr. Biden encountered the man at the restaurant’s bar after he was served a piece of “classic custard pie.” Ms. Slack was able to eavesdrop on a bit of Mr. Biden’s conversation with the other man and initially thought it was a friendly chat because she overheard the man say, “You’re a good guy, Joe.” However, afterwards, when Ms. Slack spoke to the man, who declined to give his name, it was clear his words to the vice president weren’t all kind.

“Before that, I told him to enjoy his last couple of months,” the man said, adding, “Just because you’re a good guy doesn’t mean you’re a good vice president.”

I’d happily give Obama or Biden a piece of my mind if I met them in public. Hell, I’d verbally tear into any politician who deserved it.

“...after he was served a piece of “classic custard pie.”

I think the choice of pie was an subconscious foreshadowing of election day on Joe's part.

I’d have offered to vote for him if he smeared the pie all over his face and let someone take a picture.

The offer to vote would be a lie of course. As a Dem surely he could appreciate that sort of thing.

Did he pay for his pie?

Both the Obamas and the Bidens are notorious for ‘forgetting’ to pay for their meals. Just saying.

Beautiful. Brought a big smile to my face. This is what happens when Bammy-Biden actually mingle with commoners.

He’d better hope his taxes are in order.

Also did Biden still have his famous goofy smile on his face at the end?

Or did Biden remind the man ‘I am probably smarter than you’?

Yes, my psychic powers see an audit in his future.

I really liked in the debate last night, when discussing the order to kill bin laden, Obama through Biden under the bus with that comment about how is own VP didn’t want to go ahead with the operation!

Obama is a little bit like Stalin in that way - if you work close to him, you will die (or be thrown under the bus) eventually!

A pie of baked crow would have been more prescient.

Classic custard pie?

I can’t wait until the pie is planted squarely in the face of the punks at the white house on Nov 6.

It’s not infeasible for Romney to be the President and Biden the VP, if the electoral college ties and the Pres and VP must be elected by Congressional votes.

IF a frog had wings, he wouldn’t bust his butt everytime he jumped.

IF the “new” Senate was majority dem and IF they picked Biteme, he would come up with some good reason to resign real fast. IF it was ever up to the House and Senate, Biteme would likely refrain from consideration and it would go to Ryan.

People should be careful talking like that to a Rat party (formerly the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party) member.. Biden moved away from the man talking to him like that? That's what Clinton did then..

President Clinton had Couple Arrested for Insulting Him!

Glenn and Patricia Mendoza were reacting to the 19 airmen killed in a Saudi Arabia suicide bombing (1996) and confronted President Clinton. The Chicago police and the Secret Service got in tough with the Mendozas immediately -- they were arrested -- and IIRC the IRS and DoJ kept getting in touch with them for years after that.

The man at Schmucker’s Restaurant could have shoved the pie into the face of a Republican and been a MSM employees' hero of course.

Back in HS, we had a democrat congressman visit our school at the request of our religion department (liberation theology). I went and spoke with him and I asked him some question - conservative ideas and I was immediately asked to leave the room and go to the Dean’s office. If this happened today, I would have had a nice tax audit and charges to dare question one of the anointed elite.

BTW, the congressman was Bill Alexander (D-AR) who was one of the check-kiters.
