Intel: Lefties plan to drop anti-Mormon propaganda at mega-churches weekend before the election

I was on a conference call yesterday regarding intelligence gathered from a highly placed source that liberal Obama surrogates are planning to target Evangelical mega-church parking lots with bigoted anti-Mormon flyers the final weekend before the election in key battleground states like Ohio, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Mega-church pastors are being notified to have parking lot attendants be on the lookout for such a lit drop. But please forward this post to all pastors of both Protestant and Catholic churches, particularly in battleground states. It may surprise you to learn that most of anti-Mormonism is on the LEFT, not the Right. From The American Spectator, April 18: And a Pew poll found that 31% of Democrats and 23% Republicans said they would be less likely to support a candidate if he were Mormon. The poll also found that the more liberal the respondent, the more anti-Mormon they were. Forty-one percent of liberal Democrats said they would be less likely to support a Mormon candidate. From Fox News, June 15: The GOP’s all-important social conservatives may be getting more comfortable with Mitt Romney’s Mormon faith – but liberals are increasingly wary about the candidate’s religion in the run-up to November, according to a new study. The study found anti-Mormon attitudes have increased since Romney’s 2008 presidential bid and are highest among liberal and non-religious voters…. The study found attitudes about Mormonism among Evangelicals has largely remained unchanged since 2007 – when 37% said they were “less likely to vote for a Mormon candidate for president,” compared with 33% this year. However, that sentiment among non-religious voters increased from 21% to 41% over roughly the same period. Among liberal voters, 43% said they were less likely to vote for a Mormon presidential candidate in 2012, compared with 28% in 2007.

Yet Obama voters will vote for a former Muslim who worshipped in a church presided by a racist who is a friend of Louis Farrakhan. Interesting.

Whoever Is Not Against Us Is for Us (NIV)
Mark 9

38 “Teacher,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.”

39 “Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, 40 for whoever is not against us is for us. 41 Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.

The left uses religious beliefs as a tool to further their warped agenda, and that is all. If they can stop a Christian in their tracks by saying something uninformed such as: “Judge not, lest ye be judged.” or “Jesus never mentioned homosexuality” or “Jesus was a liberal, wanted to help the poor, etc.” then they do it. It isn't that they give a damn what the scriptures say or what Jesus stands for. It's just another tool. They won't get away with it. It's becoming increasingly clear that we're up against a bunch of infantile fools. Thank God for the internet.

That would be a huge mistake on their part. I dont know about your church but churches around here politicking is taboo as it divides. Outsiders doing that will be 1000 times worse.

The poll also found that the more liberal the respondent, the more anti-Mormon they were.

The same thing could be said about anti-Semites, anti-Catholics, anti-Evangelicals, anti-anything which doesn't have a negative impact on society.

The left are really and truly the servants of Satan. They are hateful, bitter and take joy only in sharing their misery-- much like the beast spoken of in the Book of Revelation who was cast out of heaven with one-third of those who chose to follow it.

Pssst, progressives - conservative Christians have a much higher opinion of Mormons than they do of lefty socialist Obama supporters. This will be very counterproductive.

It’s not surprising the Left hates Mormons. Mormons are more likely to be social conservatives than the average population, and more likely to be fiscal conservatives.

This despicable conduct by the Left should surprise who(m)?

If some of the deranged lunatic left are willing to post death threats against Mitt, then that means they are getting desperate and we all know that if cornered, a "RAT" will attack.

BTW, anyone see the response by "Dear Leader's" Secret Service re: the numerous threats against Romney?

The Secret Service confirms it is "aware" of the threats against Romney, a spokesman for the federal agency confirms.

"The Secret Service is aware of this and will conduct appropriate follow up IF NECESSARY," Brian Leary, a spokesman for the United States Secret Service, said

"IF necessary?"

WTF is that supposed to mean?

What are they going to do, wait until someone takes a shot at Mitt to begin investigating?

Oh that's right, the SS, much like the DOJ, DHS, DOD, et al, has been politicized to the "nth" degree and will NOT do anything to affect the chances of reflecting badly on the Rat Party or their Dear Leader.

It’s even bigger than that; the left’s whole tactic has been divide and conquer from the start. However, at least here on the right, we unite around someone who proves how capable he is. I wasn’t always a Romney fan, and could care less about ever joining his religion, but in the mean time, the guy shows more class, and more maturity than Obama ever has, not to mention, he actually shows some points to people whereas Obama is obssessed with trying to go after him. I honestly feel that even if leftists pulled this off, it wouldn’t do much to change the election, anyways.

No disrespect but much of legitimate disagrement about the church founded by Joseph Smith is called “anti” or “slander” to end the discussion. Using the term “anti” by many defenders of Smiths church is much like a Lib using the word “Racist”

That all being said, I will vote for the R candidate as he is in almost all regards a superior political candidate

This will open the doors to Reverend Wright, Calypso Louie, and Obama mentioning his Muslim faith.

I am LDS and I am not voting for a Mormon,

I have Mormon neighbors that are voting for Obama. They are big, big libs. I was shocked.

Look, I don't agree with various groups on their religious beliefs but I'm more inclined to support people who are on the right. There's something about liberals that's just not right... It's like the difference between good and bad. Even within my own faith, I see the difference. It always amazes me when I can sit in church with a lib and we come out of service hearing two different sermons. How can anyone who goes to church believe in gay marriage, abortion, free contraception...etc?

“with bigoted anti-Mormon flyers”

If the flyers contain accurate info about mormonism’s many heresies, no problem. Facts are facts. That is part of the baggage Mitt Romney brings to this election.

For evangelicals - many of whom no longer have a foundation of accurate Biblical understanding - this election is about two lousy choices, each for a very different reasons.

Many evangelicals will make a decision in their conscience, apart from their pocketbook.

Maybe your neighbors got to their personal limit on what it means to be a Liberal these days. That would be an interesting question, if you could ask it in the right way, i.e., so you would get an answer rather than a “harrumph”.

In answer to your last question - I have no clue whatsoever. Sometimes the best thing I can do is take a deep breath and pray for guidance.

Mormons are not Christians, and Mormonism was founded to replace Christianity (and for sex and money). You might also be surprised that Mitt Romney expects to become a God, as our God is to us.

Mitt, and Mormons believe that God was just a man like them, and that there are many Gods, countless Gods, and that they themselves become Gods of planets and worshipers, just as our God is to this planet.

"As Greek Orthodox, you probably know that they label Mormonism as a polytheistic, non Christian cult, as do all Protestant denominations and the Roman Catholic church."

So? You might be confusing me with someone who cares about his religion. Hinduism and possibly Taoism would fall into the same category under that definition, too. I wouldn't vote against a Hindu if he and I agreed on political ideology. I'm voting for President, not for Pope. Romney could burn incense to Isis, leave offerings to Athena, give deference to Vishnu, or perform Taoist ancestor worship and I'd still vote for him.

As long as Romney is someone who will actually follow his oath of office, will actually follow, "preserve, protect, and defend" the Constitution, will respect the central concept of Federalism and all that it includes, and take to heart the dictum that government can only be by consent of the governed, I'm satisfied. Call his religion a cult if you wish, but to me the implication that I should therefore not vote for him is a non sequitor, and, frankly, offensive to me.

It was you that gave the impression that you were speaking as a Christian, a Greek Orthodox, that is why I posted back to you in that way.

Hinduism and Taoism were not created to look and sound like Christianity and to hold the bible in one’s hand as the “Christian” bible speaking of “Jesus Christ”, while seducing people into an anti-Christian cult, where they would in time be turned away from the bible and Christianity, and into the Book of Mormon and polytheism, in a gradual, dishonest and deliberate, cult fashion.

Not being the piratical type, there are days when I feel like I should plant a pole in the front yard and fly the "1824" flag that flew at the Alamo, and I'm not even from Texas, nor do I live in Texas. But then, the HOA nazis would object.... Maybe I could raise the flag on the ham radio antenna that this neighborhood would be GLAD to have functioning when things finally go south.

Keynesian economic theory works fine in societies that are not populated with actual people. Apparently, no one told Mr. Keynes that real people react to their new-found situation and change their buying habits to minimize the pain. This is the common mistake politicians make in economic theory, and Liberal politicians make it more frequently than conservatives. People are not static objects that are subject to linear first order equations. We find clever answers to our problems somewhere along the locus of points that describes our personal "path of least pain". That path has variables such as core beliefs (not to be confused with verbal declarations), financial needs, and personal and family goals [incomplete list]. Our minds then analyze that complicated surface equation and then we pursue a path that works for us as individuals. Sorry for drifting this conversation off the advertised path. It happens to me when I contemplate how many of our fellow citizens are willing to flush the Republic down the toilet by voting for more of Caesar's bread and circuses.

I agree. I don't know whether to call it evil or what, how liberalism clouds the mind. I see it in my some of my family members. My brother was once a republican and liked listening to Rush Limbaugh but then he started working for the government, joined the union and now he's a flaming liberal. Perhaps he was never truly conservative, I don't know but watching the transformation is just heartbreaking. And there's no reaching him and others like him.

I guess with my neighbor I was shocked. You see, with my brother and nephews being liberal, they've turned against the family. They'd throw you under the bus as long as it would help Obama or some liberal cause. With my neighbor being Mormon, and Mormons are known for strong family bonds, I wondered if they too would be like my brother? Would they throw family members under the bus for the greater cause? I got my answer a few days ago when my husband told me that the neighbor's wife argues with her father over politics, and it gets heated. Then my heart broke.

I know liberalism creeps into all areas of society but I guess I just hated to see this family be such rabid liberals. I understand how my family members who don't seek God can go astray but how can people who seek and love God also love the support the ideals of liberalism? A friend told me that perhaps they seek God in their own image instead of transforming themselves into God's image... But still it leaves me with more questions.

Sorry for the ramblings... Please pray for this country.
