Following the conclusion of Monday nights final presidential debate, MSNBCs hosts noted that GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney had distanced himself from his positions as a primary candidate. Chris Matthews called this a political calculation and said that the Republican party has a greater hatred of Barack Obama than they do of Al Qaeda.

Mitt Romney committed to the idea, without clarification, that troops should be removed in 2014, said Rachel Maddow referring to Afghanistan. She said Romney made significant news this morning when he reversed his position on the Afghan troop withdrawal. She said that on that issue, and a number of issues, Romney agreed with Romney more than she thought was likely.
Matthews, who opened by saying the debate focused far too much on Israel, said there were a number of threats to global security that went unaddressed.
Nothing about the drug trade coming through Latin America which is the greatest threat to our culture in many ways, said Matthews. He said there was nearly no discussion of the financial strains on the European Union and virtually no discussion of the BRIC countries Brazil, Russia, India and China.
I thought Romney had a strategy tonight avoid looking like a radical, Matthews added. He said he thought Romney had good shots on the economy but he avoided linking himself to the positions he took as a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination.
I thought it lacked any kind of originality and importance, Matthews said of the debate. When Maddow noted that Romney had divorced himself from many positions he took in the primary, Matthews said that the Republican party has become married to the idea of recapturing the White House to the exclusion of many others.
They hate Obama they want him out of the White House more than they want to destroy Al Qaeda, said Matthews. Their number one enemy in the world right now on the right is their hatred, hatred for Obama. He cited racism in the South against Obama which he claims is evident in recent polling data.
Watch the clip via MSNBC:
I'm starting to have a greater hatred for Chris Matthews than either one of the two.
I thought Al Queada was on it’s heels?
>>I thought it lacked any kind of originality and importance, Matthews said of the debate.
Which means that it was damaging to Obama.
O'bumer's comment about "nation-building" back home was pretty stupid.
It has nothing to do with racism - I despise Obama because he is far to the left of George McGovern, not because of something as trivial as his skin pigment. Remarkably, Matthews got one thing right. I consider Obama's removal from our White House a more urgent national need than defeating Al Qaeda, but that is because Obama is so phenomenally inept at protecting our country from external threats, at protecting our economy from the damage that leftist laws inflict on the businesses that would otherwise create jobs, and at protecting the basic freedoms that make our country different from any other socialist banana republic. Despite the damage over the past four years, America is still strong enough to handle any external threat, once the government is again on our side.
If we win, I’ll be sure to tune in.
But here's a clue for nothing, Matthews:
Gotta have the White House to actually destroy AQ.
Having one of their coreligionist allies in residence just won't get the job done.
When the situation calls for gloves off firepower, the traitorous maggØt has his ass in the air, kissing the rings of the bedsheet nazis.
(or throwing off invitational pheromones ? prolly both)
Given what each entity has done to this country, I would say that Obama and Al Qaeda are on equal footing. Both seek to destroy the US.
OK
Chris Tingle doesn’t want the US to find out that his swing downlow president *IS* the Al Quaida.
...somebody find his blanky.
“He (Matthew’s) said he thought Romney had good shots on the economy”
************************************************************
For Matthews to admit this is a sign of how far short Obama fell in what he wanted to accomplish in this final debate.
Matthews hates Americans, the military, non pervert people and anyone who does not have their nose up Obama’s butt~
Uh, Chris - the problem is that Obama and the enemy Al Quada show every sign of being one and the same. We cannot destroy the enemy beyond our borders when we are being led by the enemy within.
Well, that is true that many of us DO hate Obama for what he has done to this country, but it is even more true that we want him out of the White House more than we want to destroy Al Qaeda.
Al Qaeda is not the biggest threat to this country right now. HE IS.
Hmmm.
Whenever I think of the antique signs one would see across the west (”No Irish Need Apply”) and that classic line from Mel Brooks’ “Blazing Saddles” (”OK, we’ll take the n*&^rs and the ch*&ks, but NO Irish”), a picture of Matthews on these idiotic rants of his pops into my head.
He’s gotta be the dumbest thing to come along since a bag full of post holes.
I don’t hate either. However, Obama really is much more of a threat to America than Al Qaeda. It’s not even close; and if he should somehow be re-elected, we will all come to know that. (There, I said it.)
Yep. It has nothing to do with race, and everything to do with who he is and what he stands for.
Most conservatives I know look at someone like Allen West and say they would vote for him if he were running.
What we despise is an incompetent, arrogant person who hates what this country stands for, rules by fiat with presidential directives, is trying at every turn to raise the cost of energy for us, has treasonous bastards like Bill Ayers for friends, and hides behind the skirt of racism when he is called on any of it.
THAT is what many of us HATE about Barack Obama.
The one will follow the other, as a matter of course.
Fomenting racial division and tension. The trump race card. If there were to be post Romney election violence, lay it at Chris Matthews’ door.
“Nov.6th is going to be very entertaining watching Matthews come apart as the Democrat Party loses the WH and Senate”
From your typing fingers to G-d’s ears. I pray daily that this will be the case!!!!!
Really?
I thought we were just trying to get Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood out of the White House.
I don’t see this as an “either/or” thing, but a “both/and” thing. We want the WH and we want to destroy Al Qaeda, no?
Can’t wait to see the men in white jackets escort Matthews from the studio on camera election night.
Chrissy isn’t all wrong about this. Obama is a bigger threat to America than al-Qaeda.
The good thing is we know what the full criteria are for employment at MSNBC...unhinged, virulent hatred and raging alcoholic...
Unlike the liberal Democrats who want to destroy America more than they want to destroy Al Qaeda.
Hate: another word, like racism, that the left use indiscriminately. Of course Mr. Tingles represents a perfect example of projection.
Actually I believe Obama is more dangerous to the United States than Al Quaeda.
He has turned over the Middle east to Muslim terrorists, he has slowed our energy, he has wasted billions of dollars on Green, He has devastated our economy.
What has Al Quaeda done that compares?
Is this guy considered a “hero” to the left?
Democrats hate Romney and want the White House more than they want to prosper and protect America.
Sorry Chrissy but there is nothing uniquely American about Obama. He comes across as a foreigner. His African, Indonesian, Muslim, black liberation theology and communist roots show through loud and clear. That is what shaped him. Not apple pie and football.
Well, DUH! Mr “Tingles” Matthews!
0bama is the more immediate threat.
Don’t make me say that again.
Romney may be a lot of things, but I’m certain he’s not Al Quaeda.
AFAIC Obama is simply another terrorist who got behind the flight controls of this country only concerned with how he could take off and with no intentions of landing
in one piece.

Chris Matthews:
Too bad his mother decided to keep the afterbirth rather than the baby.
I always have this mental picture of Mathews foaming at the mouth like he’s just crunched up 3 or 4 Alka Seltzers in his mouth. Spittle flying everywhere. That guy belongs in a straight jacket.
