Official: Absentee ballots unaccounted for in Auburn Hills

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (WJBK) - A city officials says more than 800 of the 1455 absentee ballots mailed out earlier this month were unaccounted for nearly two weeks before Election Day.

Auburn Hills City Clerk Terri Kowal says the issue came to light after less than half of the mailed ballots, which were sent out on Oct. 3, were returned as of Monday. "We do know that at least 650 did receive them because they have been returned," said Kowal. "Most voters immediately return their ballots so we have reason to be concerned about the 800 not returned, especially considering the numerous phone calls we are receiving."

This is suspicious to me. Auburn Hills is a democrat town with a lot of apartments. It's also next door to Pontiac.

We'll need poll challengers this election, and we'll also need people watching the absentee voter counting board as well.

The Rats have everything to lose this election. This is the biggest election for them, EVER! They will do whatever they can to swing the election their way.

We received our early ballots, but this year we are not taking any chances and are delivering them to the polling place on election day. Maybe some of that at play here?

Unless they are 60+ and elected to receive automatic absentee ballots (which is possible), then they had to request a ballot.

Some Democrat-controlled elections offices were marking the return envelopes for absentee ballots: “Democrat” or “Republican” or “D” or “R.” Supposedly this is done to facilitate counting by the elections office. In reality it alerts postal employees that an absentee ballot has been filled out by a Republican voter. This was an issue in South Florida in 2004. I don’t know if this still goes on.

“We do know that at least 650 did receive them because they have been returned,” said Kowal. “Most voters immediately return their ballots so we have reason to be concerned about the 800 not returned, especially considering the numerous phone calls we are receiving.”
Kowal says residents who have requested but not yet received an absentee ballot are urged to email or call the City Clerk's office as soon as possible. Kowals say the undelivered ballots will be re-issued as needed.

So could you have received it but tell them you have not and get another one sent and then vote twice? How would they know if you vote twice because you could mail one in and then take one to the polling place too I think.

This election is going to be rigged on all fronts by the left. The Obama phone people may be really dumb. But they sure are good cheaters.

Mine didn’t have that as we don’t register by party here. I do however always hand deliver them to the clerk’s office, because I don’t trust the post office.

The city clerk/poll workers are supposed to mark a return when it is received. That's the key.

Back when my parents and I were in the same precinct, I asked them to check and see if I was marked off in the poll book as I vote AV. I was.

I know my neighbor gets an absentee ballot but just takes it to the polling place instead of mailing it not sure if they mark her off at the polls I will ask her.
