Imagine if the Obama administration participated in the creation of an arms pipeline to al Qaeda in Syria – a “Fast and Furious” program running Saudi and Qatari weapons to our terrorist enemies in the Middle East. Then imagine that Vice President Joe Biden looked the American people in the eye during the vice presidential debate last week, and lied about it.
It would make Susan Rice’s blaming the Benghazi attack on a YouTube video pale by comparison.

Either way it seems that the connection between Benghazi and the rise of jihadists in Syria is much stronger than has been officially acknowledged.
In reality, he was an Arabist and an Milddle East Nativist who internalized much of the mind set of the Radical Arab world. He was a supporter of the PLO and maintained close connections dn ties to Middle East radical groups.
For this reason he was chosen as liaison and adviser to the Muslim opposition militias in Libya.
He took sides in the Libyan Civil War and help defeat and eliminate members of opposition groups that Clinton and Obama were not in favor of.
He made a lot of nnemies and while he may have been close personally to many individuals in high places in the Islamist militias, at the end of the day he was still the man who was the face of the Great Satan in the region.
He was also a useful idiot who had been insrumental to the Muslim Brotherhood gaining power in Libya, but in his new position he was becoming an obstacle to those who he had put in power using Libya as a spring board to further Jihad.
Hillary is done.
So, if I understand this correctly, the attack began 40 minutes after Stevens met with the Turkish diplomat who was also serving as his weapons broker that supplied the Libyan rebels but who is now facilitating the transport of weapons to Syria from Libya?
I need help understanding some of this.
Why would Turkey help arm the Syrians? In the past 2 weeks or so I got the impression that the two countries are coming to blows because Syrian rockets (or ours I guess) landed in Turkey, so Turkey retaliated. Is that correct?
If so, I’m just going in circles trying to understand all this now.

I am more than a little confused about who is on which side of the issue.
What it looks like to me is that once the weapons deal was done, Stevens was no longer useful, and in fact was a liability who needed to be removed.

You might be confusing the Assad (government) side in Syria’s internal conflict with the opposition side. Turkey is mad at the Assad regime. This weaponry is supposedly being funneled to people who claim to be opponents of that regime, but who at the same time apparently are linked to al qaeda.

Stevens was certainly a useful idiot and an islamophile, just like his bosses, Hillary and Bambi. They probably expected Al Qaeda to love them and reward them for their generous support by at least pretending not to be the savages that they are.
The attack on the consulate was clearly planned in advance and they wanted specifically to get Stevens. Was it because he knew too much or maybe was having a sudden attack of conscience (or had even been told by Hillary or Obama to see if he could get the weapons back?).
It had onviously been planned well before his meeting with the Turk, but maybe the Turk gave the go-ahead signal. Or maybe not. Someone else pointed out that there must have been a mole in the operation somewhere.
Also,I think they wanted to get documents and information that was being kept at the consulate.
Thank you, The documents found and posted on this site showed he was meeting with a shipping company, Al Marta Shipping company. They control the ports in Libya. He also met with Arabian Gulf Oil company.

If the rockets that landed in Turkey from Syrian territory belonged to Assad’s forces (government), then your parenthesis statement that the rockets are “ours, I guess” couldn’t be more wrong. We don’t provide rockets to the Assad regime in Syria. Russia provides weaponry to them.
What you need is to make a distinction between the Assad regime (government side) in Syria and the opposition that is fighting against Assad. And at the same time, remember that the opposition has apparently been hijacked by al qaeda, whatever name they might call themselves.
There are, tragically, thousands of Syrian citizens who have been killed or who have fled Syria and become refugees. Just ordinary people. They hate Assad and they don’t typically cheer for al qaeda either, they just wanted to be left alone to live their lives. But they have been trapped in the situation and their lives have been destroyed.
I wrote on this topic days ago, to answer the claim that we (America) should do nothing...even if Romney wins...just let them over there kill each other off. Let Assad slaughter his own people, let the opposition do their thing without our involvement, etc. My anwer was...and it has become evident by events now...that al qaeda is a huge factor and it wouldn’t be good if the Assad dictatorship continues the slaughter NOR would it be good if al qaeda dominates Syria, right on Israel’s doorstep.
To do NOTHING is bad, just as doing the wrong thing (Obama regime actions) is bad.

Oh well, besides Everything that has happened in the middle east for the last two years because he listens to the islamists IN THIER OWN WORDS!

Doubt the Bam crew wanted a hostage scenario just before the elections. Perhaps trying to speed up the overthrow of Assad in Syria with more artillery to the rebels might have been a feather in the cap to Bam before Nov 6th.
I think the administration definitely knows a lot more than anybody is admitting too - but the problem is that so many of the things they do can as well be attributed to incompetence as to malice, so sometimes it’s hard to sort it out.
Everybody at the top - who would probably have been required to give or approve the orders to send help - seems to have been AWOL. Was that stupidity and incompetence, or was it intentional?
I do think the attack was connected to the weapons that Obama has been busy distributing to radical groups throughout the ME. Supposedly, at the time of the attack, there was or recently had been a group of CIA operatives in Benghazi who had been trying to track down the distribution route for the weapons.
Possibly Stevens was left there to die because the administration hoped that’s what would happen; but possibly it was an accident because they had hoped that he’d be able to put the genie back in the bottle and found out way too late that he couldn’t.
As for the attack, the jihadists obviously were looking for him and wanted to kill him. They had been tipped off and knew exactly when and where to go. They had to have planned it well in advance of the Turk’s visit.
AQ might have attacked anyway, just to show us that they were still powerful (although against no odds, since we didn’t have any military protection there) and still hated us, but this was so focused on Stevens that they must have had a further objective beyond that and it must have been coordinated from the outside. So there is the usual question, what did Obama know and when did he know it?
This has the potential to be a huge scandal for Obama and might even overwhelm the ability of the MSM to spin it favorably. Their only hope is to prevent further discussion of it.
