Billy Graham's lurch towards Mitt Romney risks his legacy [Lib Suddenly Cares about Evangelicals]
The Guardian ^ | October 18, 2012

Posted on 10/18/2012 6:03:49 AM PDT by SoFloFreeper

As America's pastor for the past half century, Billy Graham has earned a reputation as a wise and holy man. But the respect he has gained as a man of unflinching, unerring principles has been severely compromised by his Evangelistic Association's decision to remove a reference to Mormonism from its website...

"I hope millions of Americans will join me in praying for our nation and to vote for candidates who will support the biblical definition of marriage, protect the sanctity of life and defend our religious freedoms," Graham said.

I’d rather vote for someone who has some funny beliefs about God than someone who believes there is no God, or someone who worships Satan/Mohammad

The Guardian understands evangelical Christians as a pig understands calculus.
And even if they understood it, they would not be concerned about it. The gift of faith is not given to the worldly.

Actually this further cements Billy Graham’s legacy as a man of God who also loves his country.

.....and yet the left has no problem with people like REVEREND Al Sharpton or REVEREND Jesse Jackson or REVEREND Jeremiah Wright getting involved in political activities.

The Guardian???

The rest of the time, that British Marxist rag is probably calling Billy Graham a zealot and redneck.

The whole article suggests the reason the Grahams are endorsing Romney is because they are RACISTS. The author is a moron as are most of the commnters at the site.

Dear Guardian,

Billy Graham's legacy will remain intact regardless of your mewlings in your Communist rag. Christians understand the impact his ministry has had on people around the globe. God (that guy that you don't believe in) knows it as well.

Romney may not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ in the same way as most Christians, but, if nothing else, devout Mormons live very upright lives placing their faith and families above politics unlike the writers and editors of The Guardian who worship anti-human, anti-God politicians - men worshipping the creation instead of the Creator. How simple-minded.

God will bless Billy Graham with eternal life and the reward of spending that life with Him. I honestly hope the same will be true of you, but it is a sad truth that you will likely arrogantly cling to your false religion until your dying breath and reap the agonizing recompense for your sin.

I laughed out loud when I read this. The Guardian — which is as red of a Godless Communist publication as you can get — is concerned that an Evangelical is supporting someone who belongs to that wicked Mormon “cult.” Are they going to start advocating Blue Laws for England next?

Uh oh. Billy Graham's reputation among godless liberals is at risk.

“Billy Graham has earned a reputation as a wise and holy man.”

B. Graham is Baptist and would not agree with that “holy” part.

He sold out when he took down, “Mormonism is a cult” from his web site. Vote for Romney or not as you please, that does not change what Mormonism is.

Why should British people care about what candidates we should support as Americans? Do you see American columnists telling the English to vote Labour/Conservative or to support or oppose Prime Minister Cameron? I am sick and tired of Canadians and British sticking their nose in our politics. Leave us alone.

In all fairness, the Evangelicals called Catholicism a cult as well.

Like, Graham would support Pres. Pro-Abort, whose HHS seeks to perpetrate one abrogation of religious rights after another?

Give unto us a break, libs. Your fig leaf of new-found piety and solicitous concern for religious leaders' legacies doesn't cover diddly-squat on your exposed anatomies.
