In the baseball playoffs, the tie goes to the runner. In debates, ties are decided by the moderator and that’s what happened during the Tuesday night presidential debate at Hofstra University in New York. CNN’s Candy Crowley made her presence felt as a moderator in a major way on two points, but none larger than the issue of Libya.
The terrorist attack that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and four others in Benghazi has become a sore point for Obama, but Crowley made sure she called Romney out before Obama could tag him.
When Romney said Obama had not called the attack an act of terror for 14 days, Crowley interrupted and said: “It -- it -- it -- he did in fact, sir. So let me -- let me call it an act of terror.”
Naturally, Obama asked her to restate her point and she did. “Can you say that a little louder, Candy?” asked the president. “He -- he did call it an act of terror. It did as well take -- it did as well take two weeks or so for the whole idea there being a riot out there about this tape to come out. You are correct about that,” she continued.
Conservatives were outraged, arguing that Crowley’s interruption spoiled a key Romney point. They weren’t the only ones. Even Politico’s Mike Allen called the Crowley point “arguable” and pointed to the transcript of Obama’s statement saying it “generally” referred to “acts of terror.” CNN’s John King called the Obama statement a “generic” comment about terror, not specifically calling the Libya attack a terrorist act.

In democrat and media speak, to expose the mishandling and lies the obama administration has undertaken over the Benghazi events is to politicize the tragedy. Of course, for the democrats and their kneepad media to lie about the impetus and keep up that lying, adding more layers to their lies and never being called on those lies by the media, well that’s not ‘politicizing’ by the democrat/media playbook. Treachery is the hallmark of media today. And that treachery is exposed nearly every time a ‘debate’ is run, so I cannot understand why the feckless pubbies continue to run at the football knowing the treacehrous media and company will yank it away at the last second.
The GOP needs to end this problem with biased moderators once and for all. For the next presidential election the GOP needs to insist that the moderators are only allowed to ask the question and then keep track of time. NO follow up questions and NO fact checks. Candidate vs candidate, not candidate vs moderator and candidate. If the “bipartisan” (ie-Democrat and RINO run) CPD refuses then the GOP says they’re out. And the need to establish this well before 2016 so it doesn’t become an issue during that election.

Wow. I wouldn’t rule that out. What kind of people are we dealing with here? Watching the attack in real-time and then coming out on Sept. 12 and blaming a video:

That requires a Republican party actually going after corruption after they win. They never have before and let's face it, the rino's will say how bad it will look going after a black administration....racist, racist racist.
I am afraid that if they let the democrats skate on this administration there will never be a way back if democrats ever win again. Just look at dem controlled states...they will never break free again.

When this administration lied about the 'film' being the cause of nonexistent protests leading up to the slaughter and rape - Obama sent out another woman - Rice - and stood behind her skirt.
The new 'feminist' liberal woman appear to be a woman who is fooled easily, used, and tossed. Candy did herself no favor - and Obama will NOT provide return cover.

Shouldn’t even HAVE a moderator - flash the questions up on a screen, each candidate gets two minutes. When your time is up, a very loud buzzer drowns you out until you shut up and its the next guy’s turn. No audience. Maybe each candidate in a sound proof booth with the microphone turned off until its their turn. The sound of your opponent is piped in when they are speaking and a camera is on your face so we can see your reaction to adverse comments.

Actually, Obama said, "Get the transcript, Candy". Of all of the material she might have at her finger tips, why did she have that transcript? And, how did he know she had it?
