On the eve of their second debate, President Obama and challenger Mitt Romney remain locked in a virtual dead heat nationally, with Republicans showing increased enthusiasm for their nominee after his big win in the first debate, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.

Likely voters in the new poll split 49 percent for Obama to 46 percent for Romney, basically unmoved from the poll two weeks ago, just before the two candidates met in Denver for their first debate. On topic after topic, the survey portrays an electorate that remains deeply divided along partisan lines and locked in its views.

This has been posted twice I think. I’m not interested in all these bullshit polls from places like ABC, and PPP etc starting to come out again with their nonsense internals.

They need to just stop trying to make zerO’s lead happen.

Romney wins the crossover votes and the Indies in poll. 0bama getting only 42 percent of the Indies, will lose.

The media is worried. Everyone who stood in line, patiently and without vioence for a Chick-fil-A sandwich is going to vote. They haven’t been polled. Romney’s events are drawing huge crowds and the first debate calmed the fears of so many conservatives who claimed there was no difference between Romney and Obama.

I still haven’t met anyone who voted for McCain in 08 and is now voting for Obama. Of course, that doesn’t include the um, ‘principled conservatives’ here on FR who claim that. On the other hand, I have talked to a lot of people who voted for Obama in 08 and this year are voting for Romney.

Probably starting with all of the coal miners whose unions told them to vote for Obama. I rather doubt they’re doing the same this year.

Just get out there and vote.

By principled conservative do you mean lazy bums who need an excuse to sit on their butts and do nothing to save their country?

Pray for America

So Democrats are +9 but the enthusiasm gap is clearly in Romney’s favor?

Interesting that they say the polls are where they were two weeks ago before Mitt blew Obama out of the water. Clearly, the media is trying to give Obama a “mulligan” on that first debate disaster so that when the pre-scripted “Obama cleans Romney’s clock” headlines hit on Wednesday morning, Obama will get another bump in the polls. What the media is doing would be hilarious if it wasn’t so disgustingly pathetic.
