The news organizations leave that out because it saves time by not having to typeset that into the article and and it saves ink by not having to reveal that, since so many Democrats are criminals.
For Republicans, they need tell us they are Republican, because there are so few Republicans that are criminals and the reader would think they are Democrat, if not identified.
