Listen to urban talk radio discuss this debate. That demographic believes Biden won the debate--the hosts and the callers equate Biden's aggressive, overbearing, rude behavior with winning; they aren't much concerned with substance. They were much impressed with the way Biden appeared to be laughing at Ryan.
