With just about a month until Election Day, Vice President Joe Biden is in the middle of taking nearly a week off the campaign trail. He will return to doing campaign events on Thursday, when he will debate Rep. Paul Ryan in the vice presidential debate.
On Friday, October 5, according to the White House, Biden spent the day working. In the morning, he was scheduled to attend the presidential daily briefing in the Oval Office, with President Obama. That afternoon Biden was to "meet with senior advisors," according to the White House.
For this weekend, the White House provided the following guidance: "The Vice President will be in Wilmington, Delaware. There are no public events scheduled."
As for the next three days, Biden will remain in Delaware. "On Monday through Wednesday, the Vice President will be in Wilmington, Delaware. There are no public events scheduled."
Meanwhile, Thursday, October 11, is a big day for Biden. "On Thursday, the Vice President and Dr. Jill Biden will travel to Danville, Kentucky. In the evening, the Vice President will participate in the Vice Presidential Debate at Centre College. Dr. Biden will also attend. This event is open to pre-credentialed media."
So while Biden is taking 6 days off the campaign trail at a crucial time in the presidential campaign, it's likely that he isn't completely off. He is said to be spending time with David Axelrod and other campaign advisers preparing for Thursday's debate.

I thought Slow Joe knew EVERYTHING!!
“Biden Takes 6 Days Off Campaign Trail to Prep for Debate...”
That’s bad for R&R. When Biden is out there making an ass out of himself and the Obama regime, he’s rounding up GOP votes.
Just ask him...
Now remember one thing Clueless Joe, we have FIFTY states, not FIFTY SEVEN.
He just had to have some time for a plug tune-up and replacement where needed.
Biden has been practicing for debate performance
He could take 6 weeks off and it still wouldn’t be enough.
A little touch up of the botox and he should be good to go!
That’s six days of gaffes the Democrats don’t have to worry about.....
I hope that he comes into the debate very “over prepared” and launches into some obviously rehearsed rants at inappropriate times.
Biden: "Got it. I'll just talk about how hard it's been on the poor since 2008".
I am reminded of Kelly Bundy cramming for her quiz show appearance. She memorized so many facts that she began to forget what she already knew, “who was the only player in Polk High history to score 4 touchdowns in a single game?”
After the drubbing that Obozo took they have to make sure that one of them looks pResidential.
They NEED Biden to hit a home-run vs. Ryan, and you can bet this debate is going to be ALL about the Ryan Plan, and those “Tea Party Radicals”...
Much to the relief of the White House.
He's probably going to be taking a lot of vitamins in a vain attempt to boost his IQ.
Experience, Experience, Experience
So Biden is in time out for his latest gaffe?
You can only cram so much into that tiny brain of his.
They are fitting Jeff Dunham's arm up his wazoo.
He's just out working on new ones.
There will be such a thing as the tone of the debate. Biden wants to launch into Paul Ryan with gang busters. He will appear so extreme and over-the-top that he will turn America off. They will be voting for Romney for fear that this mad man has any opportunity to take the Presidency.
” STAND UP, CHUCK! “
you mean he has to study for debate???with a doctor at his side..does he need mind altering drugs?
That's actually funny given the circumstances.
We have a sitting President (it is widely reported) that didn't take enough time to prepare for the debate, and now a Vice President who is taking six days to prepare for his debate.
My questions are why do they have to prepare at all? Do they not know their own positions? Do they not understand their own current economic and international policies?
The only conclusion I can come up with is they both need time to prepare deceitful lies about their opponents and lies about their own records.
Yes, but what kind of Experience, Experience, Experience? The guy's a class-A buffoon. Plus his and Obama's policies, foreign and domestic, have been disastrous! (for America anyway).
The questions in the debate will be about the Catholic Church’s stance on birth control, the 47% remark, how Ryan wants to kill medicare, how happy we should be now that the economy has recovered, and how Romney lied in the first debate.
Biden will share his experiences with his dead wife and injured kids, some poor woman he knows who can’t afford the Pill, a guy who lost his job and can’t afford medical care for his 3-year-old girl who has cancer, and his elderly aunt who has to eat cat food because Paul Ryan stole her Medicare.
They need to coordinate with the moderators--get on the same page.
I can handle things! I'm smart!
Not like everybody says... like dumb...
I'm smart and I want respect!
I don’t think he’ll make mincemeat of Ryan, but anyone who thinks it’ll be a replay of Obamugabe’s disastrous performance is in for a disappointment. Biden’s an idiot but he generally holds his own in a debate, and he has a viscious sarcasm that the moderator is sure to let him put to use often.
>>>>Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joe Biden, is a mother and grandmother, a lifelong educator, a proud Blue Star mom, and an active member of her community. As Second Lady, Dr. Biden works to bring attention to the sacrifices made by military families, to highlight the importance of community colleges to Americas future, and to raise awareness around areas of particular importance to women, including breast cancer prevention, all while continuing to teach English full-time at a community college in nearby Virginia.<<<<
Until recently, I thought her expertise was medicine, but it's education.
You forget that one of the debaters is not fully functional. And that the other debater is very bright, in control of facts; and physically very fit.
But, I am also worried about expectations right now. I don't want the morning after headline to say that “Biden held his own in the debate” and Ryan underperformed.
Biden has been around a long time, he probably knows a trick or two.
Ryan should be downplaying expectations right now. Just like a good football coach does before a big game.
-——Experience, Experience, Experience-——
The sign over my desk says “Age and treachery overcome youth and skill”
Biden is a paradox. While old and experienced he lacks discipline. The question is....... which trait will prevail?
Will he toe the talking points line or will he fly off to fantasy land?
Biden is an idiot; but he's also the Vice President of the United States.
He can't be a total fool to have gotten there. The good thing is that Ryan is bright enough to know the same thing. No way will Ryan underestimate his opponent.
Ryan should be downplaying expectations right now. Just like a good football coach does before a big game.
Saw a local television interview with Ryan this AM. He’s doing exactly as you say.. “Biden has 40 years of experience.. etc.”
If I were Ryan, I would recall the look on Cheney’s face at the inauguration and be on guard.
I would be as cautious in the debate hall as if in a rattlesnake den. Caution means keeping a careful eye and ear and gun and hand grenades at the ready.
Getting a lobotomy reversal?
Probably need to get Biden sober after watching Obama’s performance on Wednesday.
I wouldn’t be expecting a debate like Romney took it to Obama. Biden if disciplined will be tough.
Don’t get your hopes up for the gaff machine and a blow out.
"Arlen, old pal, I really want to thank youn for helping
me prepare for the debate, especially after I convinced
you to turn Democrat---and you lost your Senate seat."
So watch Biden get all fuzzy and teary-eyed about the middle class "burden"---- and he loves to snick and snarl about those horrid one percenters---but lookie here---the lyin' lowdown turkey doesn't mind pocketing Richie Rich's money. Read on.
NY POST PAGE SIX---Obama still has some friends in investment banking. Chad Leat, managing director and chairman of Alternative Asset Group Investment Banking at Citigroup Inc, hosted a $10,000-a-plate dinner for VP Joe Biden on Aug. 24 at his home---The Barnyard in pricey Bridgehampton. Leat is described in Hamptons Cottages and Gardens mag as a banker, dedicated equestrian and imaginative host, with an elegant, but hip home. On the table for discussion will undoubtedly be the Obama economy and jobs. Probably not up for discussion will be that in 2008 Leat's employer Citigroup got Obama's $45 billion government bailout in two installments. (N-o-o-o connection, of course--/snix).
NY POST PAGE SIX---Actor Nathan Lane hosted an Obama fund-raiser attended by Joe Biden in Bridgehampton. The Aug. 24 event, called "East End for Obama," featured a performance by singer James Taylor. Hosts included actress Julianne Moore, Sopranos star Edie Falco and Jane Holzer. An Obama fund-raiser in the exclusive Hamptons enclave of the rich---host Chesler bragged and e-mailed media that the event began in the arts community out East but has morphed into what we understand will be the major Obama campaign event this summer in the Hamptons. Tickets range from $500 to $10,000 to join the host committee and get a photo with Biden
THIS SHOULD COME IN HANDY VP Biden's son, Hunter Biden, was previously a top official at PARADIGM Global Advisors, a hedge-fund holding company founded with Vice President Bidens brother, James, and marketed by convicted finance fraudster Allen Stanford. As Paradigm chairman, Hunter Biden oversaw half a billion dollars of client money invested in hedge funds while remaining a lobbyist. Cooper chipped in $2 million for the ill-fated venture, which went down in flames amid nasty fraud lawsuits." (NOTE Stanford is now in jail but the Biden's got off scot-free.)
NOTE Oama put VP Biden in charge of the trillion dollar federal stimulus. Guess Joe's son and brother are gonna help him disperse the money.
Offshore Fraudster Stanford had links to offshore fund run by VP Biden's relatives / Reuters on Yahoo | 2/23/09 | BY Ajay Kamalakaran (Reuters) A fund of offshore hedge funds run by two members of VP Joe Biden's family was marketed exclusively by offshore firms controlled by Texas financier Allen Stanford, charged by regulators with an $8 billion fraud, the Wall Street Journal said. The Bidens $50 million fund was jointly branded between the Bidens' Paradigm Global Advisors LLC and the offshore Stanford Financial Group entity headquartered in Antigua, and was known as the Paradigm Stanford Capital Management Core Alternative Fund, the WSJ said. --snip--
Crap, they took Biden off the map for six days. The Obama numbers may actually get a bump up.
