Intelligence effort named citizens, not terrorists
Pioneer Press ^ | 10-2-12 | MATT APUZZO and EILEEN SULLIVAN

WASHINGTON—A multibillion-dollar information-sharing program created in the aftermath of 9/11 has improperly collected information about innocent Americans and produced little valuable intelligence on terrorism, a Senate report concludes. It portrays an effort that ballooned far beyond anyone's ability to control. What began as an attempt to put local, state and federal officials in the same room analyzing the same intelligence has instead cost huge amounts of money for data-mining software, flat screen televisions and, in Arizona, two fully equipped Chevrolet Tahoes that are used for commuting, investigators found.

The lengthy, bipartisan report is a scathing evaluation of what the Department of Homeland Security has held up as a crown jewel of its security efforts.

The National Socialist Democrat Party and their Fuehrer have built the narrative that Bush started this so that they can blame him while their Gestapo prepares to begin collecting citizens they consider to be a threat to their regime. The situation is exactly what my grandmother found when she temporarily returned to Germany in the 1930s.

Really no need to go to Waco now. Got a new prison in Illinois to put all the citizens, er, malifactors.

The Dept. of Homeland Security is a threat to freedom far worse than any foreign country. Dismantle it. Fire everyone. They will never keep us safe and their efforts only take away our freedom.

They are trying to make it appear as if the entire program didn't work and apparently trying to make it appear as if it's become a political tool of whichever party is in the WH. Bush monitored the left and Zippo monitors the right.

Problem is an al Quaeda doc recovered in Afghanistan states “the news is 90% of the preparation for the battle”.

The terrorist don't have the ability to orchestrate the news in this country AND follow up with the correct spin after the attack, only the left in this country has that ability.

Bush's monitoring of left wing groups orchestrating news for a terrorist attack wasn't out of line.

Zippo’s minuting of right wingers can be written off as purely political.

The crown jewel, huh? What a tribe of idiots. For a reality check, try Marc Goodman’s presentation on ted.com. Well worth the time:

And since congress would not provide the funds for that jail, it was bought with Obama's stash, the executive fund.

Sorry, folks.

This is the difference between gathering intelligence to prevent attacks and gathering it for purposes of prosecuting the attackers.

By definition, the only way to determine whether a particular person or group are "innocent Americans" or "terrorists" is to investigate them. Gather sufficient data to make that determination.

These reports generally imply that there is some magical way for investigators to know in advance which group is which and therefore which ones to investigate. There isn't.

Which is not to say that information can't be misused.

This program is tantamount to establishing warrentless searches, contrary to the Constitution.

If there is no probabale cause, they need to leave the citizens of the country alone, and private.

DHS is about starting a civil war, which is in effect what Obama and the left want.

They can not fire the first shot. Although, if they can provoke us to fire the first shot then they can act.
I think they are doing their best to push buttons.

They can fire the first shot and then tell their willing accomplices in the media to blame it on the people they killed and you know that can happen.

They can not fire the first shot.>>>>>>>>>>

Yes they can, by getting Mexican Cartel members to cross the border into the USA and start shooting. The test shots are already being fired. Fast and Furious was about supplying the arms for them to do so.They have federal lands from which US citizens have been excluded to serve as bases, all in the South West near or in traditional red states.
