That is a big topic on which much can be said. The U.S. has dabbled in National Socialism before; elements of Roosevelt’s New Deal emulated Mussolini’s policies, and were implemented by men who made no secret of their admiration for Il Duce. But it has been a long time since anyone has seriously tried to turn the United States in a National Socialist direction.
Which is what Barack Obama seems to be doing. Consider his 983 executive orders, compared with George W. Bush’s 63. Or his extra-constitutional czars; or his illegal cramdown of bondholders in auto bankruptcies; or the explosion in warrantless wiretaps and the even greater explosion in federal regulations; or his “green energy” scams to distort the economy and enrich political cronies; or the recent revelation that the Obama family costs U.S. taxpayers something like twenty times what the British Royal Family costs its subjects. Or, more important, consider Obamacare, a classic top-down National Socialist program.
And then there is the matter of style. The cult of personality is central to National Socialism, and Obama is part of that tradition to a degree that is, frankly, creepy. Consider this Obama poster:

As many observers have pointed out, this sort of image is fundamentally at odds with the American political tradition. Which, I suppose, is a point in its favor if you are Barack Obama. Compare the Obama poster with this one, which celebrated Lenin at the height of his dictatorial powers. The resemblance is eerie:

And that’s why when they use the word “racist” against you, the WORST response possible is to protest “I’m not a racist, but....”.
By doing so you have surrendered and lost the battle, before you’ve gotten your dukes up.
I agree, it doesn’t change the fact that Obozo is trying to skirt the Congress to get his agenda through. There was an email circulating not too long ago with the 900+ EO number in it. There’s nothing wrong with arguing this point, but it helps when you’re armed with the correct count.

There have been over 900 Executive Orders put forth from Obama, and he is not even through his first term yet. He is creating a martial law 'Disney Land' of control covering everything imaginable. Thanks to 'Friends of Conservative Action Alerts.' They have compiled a choice list of 'Emergency Powers, Martial law executive orders': Get your headache medication out while you still can without a prescription.
* Executive Order 10990 allows the Government to take over all modes of transportation and control of highways and seaports.
* Executive Order 10995 allows the government to seize and control the communication media.
* Executive Order 10997 allows the government to take over all electrical power, gas, petroleum, fuels, and minerals.
* Executive Order 11000 allows the government to mobilize civilians into work brigades under government supervision.
* Executive Order 11001 allows the government to take over all health education and welfare functions.
* Executive Order 11002 designates the Postmaster General to operate a national registration of all persons.
* Executive Order 11003 allows the government to take over all airports and aircraft, including commercial aircraft.
* Executive Order 11004 allows the Housing and Finance Authority to relocate and establish new locations for populations.
* Executive Order 11005 allows the government to take over railroads, inland waterways, and public storage facilities.
* Executive Order 11049 assigns emergency preparedness function to federal departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive Orders issued over a fifteen-year period.
* Executive Order 11051 specifies the responsibility of the Office of Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into effect in times of increased international tensions and economic or financial crisis.
* Executive Order 11310 grants authority to the Department of Justice to enforce the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute Industrial support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all aliens, to operate penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and assist the President.
* Executive Order 11921 allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency to develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of production and distribution of energy sources, wages, salaries, credit, and the flow of money in U.S. financial institutions in any undefined national emergency. It also provides that when the president declares a state of emergency, Congress cannot review the action for six months.
It is more than clear Obama is planning for the control and “fundamental transformation” (i.e. takeover) of America, probably via Martial Law. Food, energy, transportation, work, banking, and health. – he already has it covered. While Obama is busy pulling executive orders out of the sky to control everything inside our country, he has been issuing executive orders to force us to submit to international regulations instead of our Constitution.
I think we’re long past introductions.

Agree with you. National Socialism is tinged with a distorted sense of patriotic fervor. Obama is more of an internationalist/globalist.

I am going to see if I can email your link to the author, I don't think he wanted to mislead, he must have seen a version of that email and not checked it for the truth.

Just plain dumb. They destroyed the public school system before they tried to introduce national socialism. There is little intellectual curiosity among the younger generation. All they are concerned about is entertaining themselves.
The type and focus of the EO’s make a difference for sure....
