Anti-Jihad Ads Considered Constitutional
COLLEGIAN.csufresno.edu - Top Opinion Story ^ | September 24, 2012 | Liana Whitehead

Posted on 10/01/2012 2:02:13 PM PDT by Cindy

SNIPPET: "New York City is the center of a public uproar as Internet blogger Pamela Gellar rises with an “anti-jihad” ad campaign."

SNIPPET: "Gellar and her group are protesting the Jihad, which in definition is the religious duty of Muslims.

According to the Dictionary of Islam, jihad is defined as “A religious war with those who are unbelievers in the mission of Muhammad . . . enjoined especially for the purpose of advancing Islam and repelling evil from Muslims.”

The literal meaning of jihad, according to the British Broadcasting Network, “is struggle or effort, and it means much more than holy war.”

The word jihad describes three different struggles, including “a believer’s internal struggle to live out the Muslim faith as well as possible, the struggle to build a good Muslim society and Holy war — the struggle to defend Islam, with force if necessary My politically incorrect nature wants to applaud the American Freedom Defense group for not softening the blow in their anti-jihad campaign."

SNIPPET: "What some refuse to see is the imminent danger that lingers with current events.

Our desires are honorable — to feel carefree and live under the laws of peace and hope — but we cannot act obliviously when real harm is knocking at our door.

Now is not the time to lose whatever support we have."

It may well be 'unacceptable', but that's where it's headed.

And with this: ..compelled to commit suicide or accept our murder.. you're locking yourself firmly between the horns of a false dilemna.

Liberals also share the muslim goal of tearing down our bill of rights, and installing a totalitarian socialist utopia in its place.

Like many groups before them over 1,400 years, they believe they can ride the tiger of islam, and jump off at just the right moment, and kick the tiger aside.

Like the many accomodationist groups who came before them, they will be devoured by the muslim tiger.

The muslim tiger only growls because the West allows it to. It cannot even fix its own problems. It is totally impotent if the West really showed its strength.

No economic, military, scientific, cultural or moral strength. It is only Western weakness that enables it to thrive.

So let me get this straight. We are compelled to live with a lethal desease because our Contitution stipulates that even something that will kill us has the right of protection.

I can just imagine future historians discussing the brief existence of the USA. It goes like this:

A: Notice how advanced that society was? They were certainly different from the rest of the world.
B: Right.
A: But also notice that they were destroyed from within because they insisted on a set of rules based on a sense of fair play.
B: Right. They preferred total destruction over survival.
A: You can say what you want about these Americans, but they heroically hanged onto their 1st Amendment principles up untill the time that it killed them.
B: Right, but also notice that those who took over from them rid themselves of that Constitution. So what good was that 1st Amendment?

“Terror Twitter
FBI fails to order removal of terrorist, Jihadist Twitter accounts, lawmakers claim”

BY: Adam Kredo
October 2, 2012 5:00 am

SNIPPET: “A group of lawmakers has asked the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to order Twitter to remove from the micro-blogging site the accounts of multiple U.S.-designated terrorist groups—and has warned that Twitter’s failure to do so could be a violation of U.S. law.

Twitter hosts scores of Muslim clerics and organizations, including al Qaeda, designated by the U.S. Department of the Treasury as “terrorists.” The groups use the micro-blogging site to recruit extremists and distribute radical materials, according to the lawmakers, who petitioned FBI Director Robert Mueller to crack down on these illegal virtual activities.”

If you've not already done so, I most highly recommend the ping list for Daniel Greenfield (aka Sultan Knish).

After sufficient national lip-service is paid to 1A niceties, barring some kinda miracle, and regardless preemptive goobermint action or lack thereof, it'll eventually come down to the personal/family decision to kill or be killed.

Whether preference dictates a firearm, a katana, a poisoned dart, or bare hands .. withering glares simply won't suffice.

In my bumbling way what I'm trying to say to you is that yes, PC cowardice has allowed the threat of the savage rag bastards to become palpable and mentally weighing.
But whether, when all the yakking is done and the maggots are raging up your street, fear of them leads to suicide or one's unopposed murder is something that will be entirely in your hands.

None of that is meant to discount the individual powerlessness of a situation like 9-11 or the recent travesty in Bhengazi.
Without a few divisions and a couple squadrons of Raptors at my command, there's not a lot/anything I can do about the muzz threat beyond my own locale.
That IS 'our' government's job to deal with, and one of the overwhelmingly critical reasons for getting that marxist ENEMY out of the WhiteHut.

Anyway, I can't recommend Greenfield highly enough .. the guy absolutely 'gets it'.

cheers

“State Department: Ansar al Sharia an alias for AQAP”
By THOMAS JOSCELYN
October 4, 2012

SNIPPET: “The US State Department announced today that it has amended its terrorist designations of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) “to include the new alias, Ansar al Sharia (AAS).”

AAS “was established to attract potential followers to sharia rule in areas under the control of AQAP,” according to the State Department. “However, AAS is simply AQAP’s effort to rebrand itself, with the aim of manipulating people to join AQAP’s terrorist cause.”

AAS “has publicly stated that the particular brand of sharia they hope to implement is the same as that espoused by the Afghan Taliban and the Islamic State of Iraq, a militant umbrella group...that includes” al Qaeda in Iraq.

AAS has “has taken responsibility for multiple attacks against Yemeni forces.” In March 2012, AAS executed a “series of attacks and armed assaults” in southern Yemen that “killed 100 people, many of whom were Yemeni soldiers.” An AAS suicide bombing in May 2012 “killed more than 100 Yemeni soldiers” during a parade.

The United Nations has also added AAS to its list of designated terrorist organizations.

The emir of AAS is Nasir al Wuhayshi, Osama bin Laden’s longtime aide-de-camp in Afghanistan. Wuhayshi is also the emir of AQAP.”

“Al Qaeda’s plan for Libya highlighted in congressional report”
By THOMAS JOSCELYN
September 21, 2012

SNIPPET: “An unclassified report published in August highlights al Qaeda’s strategy for building a fully operational network in Libya. The report (”Al Qaeda in Libya: A Profile”) was prepared by the federal research division of the Library of Congress (LOC) under an agreement with the Defense Department’s Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office.

Al Qaeda’s senior leadership (AQSL) in Pakistan has overseen the effort. AQSL “issued strategic guidance to followers in Libya and elsewhere to take advantage of the Libyan rebellion,” the report reads. AQSL ordered its followers to “gather weapons,” “establish training camps,” “build a network in secret,” “establish an Islamic state,” and “institute sharia” law in Libya.

Each part of this strategy is being implemented, and al Qaeda’s plan has advanced to the final stages. The three conceptual phases of an al Qaeda affiliate’s development are outlined in a chart prepared by the US military and shown here.”
