A new report from the Express Tribune, with the International Herald Tribune, last week said filmmakers working on projects depicting the U.S. Navy SEAL mission to Pakistan to kill terrorist Osama bin Laden are having second thoughts.
“Filmmakers in Hollywood are terrified of inciting further retribution against America over a string of new films showing the U.S. mission,” the report said.
The report said at least “one fearful studio has asked an Islamic cleric to vet its script.”

We are allowing the Islamists to turn into international bullies who beat us up and take our lunch money if we don’t do what they say. Even in our own country. Here’s your hopey/changey.
No surprise. The Left in this country has always been keen to per-emtively surrender to our enemies.
We’ve long known the film community to be composed essentially of cowards. This merely confirms it.
Studios want $$$s and much of that is overseas distribution so this has a big financial motive. Add in the potential for people getting killed and for Hollywood this makes sense. I’m old enough to remember the Legion of Decency list being posted on the classroom bulletin bd in Catholic school,and how Cardinal Spellman chased The World of Suzie Wong from Radio City as the feature attraction during Christmas. The threat of boycott and financial loss being used by religious leaders is hardly new.
The film making industry has been so lost, for so long, it doesn’t even know where to begin to find its moral compass.
Even Tom Clancy caved in. I will NEVER watch The Sum of All Fears.
This is like Charlie Chaplin asking Joseph Goebbels to vet “The Great Dictator.”

The Western world could surely use a leader like the Roman emperors Constantine IV or Leo III, who turned back the Muslim threat to civilization in their day.
That would not be a pretty thing, a studio lackey having to sit alongside an imam in a screening room whose idea of personal hygiene is not to have personal hygiene.
Do you know the release date for the Obama Superhero movie where he single-handedly kills Osama? Not sure if that movie will ever see the light of day now.
