Now that we ALL know Todd Akin is NOT dropping out of the U.S. Senate race, we have an opportunity to let the GOP know how we feel about them holding back funding for him. With your help, we can send a message from not only Missourians but all other states that will get the GOP's attention between now and the election.
When you click on the below url, you will be directed to an official RNC email form asking for your inputs. Please fill this out and send it to them. I have already sent one and intend to send several others until they restore the funding and recognition to Todd Akin that they so shamelessly and audaciously took away.
This thread can be found in the Announcements (News/Activism) sidebar column providing our gracious Admin Mods allow it.
Thank you for participating. Together, we can put enough pressure on the RNC as well as the NRSC to back the only true conservative candidate that is running against Claire McCaskill who is nothing but an ultra liberal Obama clone.
This is what I sent to the GOP via their form. You can use it as a template or create one of your own.
RNC -
HOW DARE YOU ASK ME TO DONATE TO THE RNC WHEN YOU ALLOWED THE NRSC TO WITHDRAW FUNDING FOR MISSOURIS SENATE CANDIDATE TODD AKIN WHO IS RUNNING AGAINST CLAIRE MCCASKILL. YOU WILL NOT SEE A SINGLE DIME FROM ME UNTIL YOU REINSTATE THE FUNDING FOR AKIN (IMMEDIATELY). TODD AKIN WAS ELECTED BY MISSOURI TO RUN AGAINST MCCASKILL BY A MAJORITY OF VOTERS, YET THE NRSC AND YOU ARE DOING THE VERY THING I WOULD EXPECT FROM OBAMA AND HIS COMMIES BY IGNORING TODD AND AS THOUGH HE WAS SCUM. DO YOU REALLY THINK WE ARE THAT DUMB TO NOT SEE THROUGH WHAT YOU HAVE DONE? SINCE YOU ARE HELL BENT ON LOSING A CRITICAL SEAT IN THE SENATE BY LETTING MCCASKILL WIN, THEN YOU ARE SHOOTING YOURSELF IN THE FOOT. YOU HAVE NO RESPECT FOR ME OR THE MAJORITY OF MISSOURI CONSERVATIVE WHO ARE MAD AS HELL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE.
I DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE REPUBLICAN PARTY I USED TO KNOW. YOU HAVE TURNED INTO SOMETHING UGLY AND HAVE SOLD OUT TO MISSOURI AS WELL AS THIS NATION. YOU REALLY WANT TO LOSE THE SENATE AND YOU REALLY MUST WANT TO LOSE TO OBAMA BY YOUR ACTIONS. WELL, GUESS WHAT, IM VOTING FOR AKIN BUT YOU ARENT. THAT MAKES YOU A SOCIALIST PARTY. HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE A SOCIALIST PARTY? I AM SO ASHAMED OF THE GOP RINOS THAT HAVE TAKEN OVER AND ALLOWED FUNDING TO BE CUT OFF FROM A RESPECTED CONSERVATIVE RUNNING AGAINST A SOCIALIST DEMOCRATE WHO SOLD HER SOUL TO OBAMA AND HIS COMMIE REGIME.
Thank you for not giving any money to a tin-eared egomaniac and nepotist.
BTTT oh yes!
I don’t send any money to the RNC now, I cannot threaten them with witholding a donation
The RNC gave us Romney and although I will be forced to vote for him, I will not send them any money.
I won’t send them a penny until they divest themselves of RINO’s. I guess that means -—never.
I believe I will send a donation to Akin though.
You would rather have Claire????
(((Ping)))
Claire wanted Akin. And she got him.
I did already. Probably should again...
Here are my comments, for what it’s worth:
Here’s a suggestion for you:
Get rid of anti-constitutionalists in the Republican Party. Purge the RINOs. Support patriots.
And take that “DONATE” button off your site. When I donate it goes to specific candidates, not to a spread-the-wealth organization with a mentality such as yours.
Akin is a good man. One misplaced word and you all go off the rails. It’s a shame you haven’t done the same for some of the truly left leaning, and or moderate candidates you expect us to support.
Have a nice day!
It is useless to complain. Just don’t give any money to the RNC and send it directly to the candidate you want to support. If you need help locating good candidates, check with Club for Growth.
When I compare Akin’s poor comment to Biden’s serially stoopid comments? No contest! Support him!
Thanks for the link.
I wrote that my vote in the coming election may depend on their open support of Todd Akin.
I'm tired of idiots and will no longer defend them.
I support your decision to withhold funds for Mr. Todd Akin. Don't reward bad behavior that almost derail other candidates unnecessarily. Please note that various stripes of party leaders are behind you, from Gov. Palin, Rep. West, and Sen. Brown.
Good one. Wish I had put that in my note.
Sure wish we had a real choice in the primaries. Seems like, since Reagan, we’ve just had the pick of the chicks shoved down our throats. I think the primary system needs to be changed. Not sure how. Maybe hold them like the general election where votes are cast in a one or two day period. Have the top three go to a run-off primary. Just make sure it all gets done in a reasonable amount of time, like 6 months or so.
“I’m tired of idiots and will no longer defend them.”
By your logic all politicians are idiots. When’s the last time you knew of a candidate that didn’t make a mental error, slip of the tongue, etc.?
I suppose you will vote for McCaskil (sp?) then. After all, all that she has had to say has been completely on the up and up, with absolutely no errors.
Every election year we have 1 race that totally takes the DC Beltway media by surprise. I think this one may be it.
McCaskil is very unpopular, is polling under 50% in a pro Romney state. According to most polling Akin is closer then he should be
It would be funnier then heck to watch the GOP media from Rove on down have to eat massive amounts of crow if Akin turned out to be the 51st Republican Senator.
Thanks, sent the RINONC a sweet NO MONEY note.
My email to the RNC:
You all want to pull funding from Todd Akin because he used the wrong word (yes, that’s all he did wrong) and yet you all are some of the deafest, dumbest, out of touch elitists I’ve ever come across in MY LIFE. I gave you my name; take me off your lists of incessant phone calls and don’t reach out to me again until you decide to SUPPORT CONSERVATIVES. Oh but, keep getting behind people like Romney and other RINO’s and see where that gets you. Bunch of Whigs.
Missouri ping list please?
I have to mention, the fact that Claire wanted to run against him tells me he probably has a history of odd statements or behavior.
By your own standards, you shouldn’t be supporting the
Man who created socialized healthcare, Mr. I like to fire people
McRomney.
Really - that is your argument? Because Claire wanted Akin we shouldn't support him?
You're familiar with the saying "Be careful what you wish for - because you might get it."? Claire and people who think as you do are the reason for that saying.
I contacted them a few days ago expressing my sentiments. . . including my displeasure with the GOP wimpy leadership. Sent Akin a donation and told the GOP in so many words that they needed to get with the program before I write them a check.
Thanks! I left them a brief message.
“You wonder why I’m not responding to your pleas for a contribution?
Your poor treatment of Todd Akin is why! Poor? Really very crappy treatment! I’d use stronger language if I thought it would do any good!”
You are a true patriot Cripplecreek:)
? who is a nepotist? if you are referring to Akin..what favors has he shown to his relatives?
Excellent letter ES:) I wrote one too but I can’t post mine...lol. Sometimes my irish gets UP.
There is more to the gop e’s treatment of Akin than his 6 second gaffe. Guess they would prefer 6 more years of the leftwing Scare McCackles.
The people in Missouri voted for Akin and we got him and we want him to win. Where is your proof and documentation that McCaskill wanted Akin?
The state republican party of Missouri endorsed Akin as did the Missouri Farm Bureau and christian organizations.
Akin opposes the death tax; A rating with the National Rifle Association; voted against the Wall St Bailout; voted against Obamacare 30 times; voted for a balanced budget ammendment. Akin is the type of candidate I have fought for and want to win elections not toss out. He is more conservative than Mitt Romney and you can put that in your pipe and smoke it.
The GOP have done their best to “abort” him. Well, it didn’t work. If they do not support him ...they ARE supporting her, simple.
Newt Gingrich, Huckabee, Schlaffly, DeMint are behind Akin. Scott Brown is a rino.
Reward Mitt Romney..he supports homosexuals serving openly in the military..wanna bet West doesn’t? Romney supports gays adopting children. You better believe that Romney won’t get rid of socialized medicine..change it? yes, but it is here to stay.
Go Akin!
Distancing themselves from akin’s ignorant statements is about the only smart thing the GOP has done in recent memory.
To support akin’s statements would spell certain disaster.
Thanks Katie !!!!! You’re taking them down one at a time. Great soldier to have on our side. Thanks for the extra ammo. Happy hunting. :-)
Akin might be a nimnold, but he's OUR nimnold!
ES:) feel a momentum in our favor. Huckabee and his wife are going to come to MO for Akin and wouldn’t it be great if Demint comes too?
When is the next debate? Akin excelled in the last one...my favorite quote by Todd, “there is nothing as scary as your insurance company coming between you and your doctor UNLESS it is the federal govt coming between you and your doctor”
EXCELLENT POST BY YOU ON THE RNC:)
well hot dayum! I like you after all:)
Great news !!! Can sure use the extra support from them. I think the next debate is the 18th. Thanks for the compliment on my post. I sometimes get a little carried away too. I guess I just can’t stand evil. Thus my screen name. :)
Low volume ping list
FReepmail me to be on, or off, this list.
Would you rather have Senator Claire McCaskill?
LMAO at your Post #2!
Good one!
“If they do not support him ...they ARE supporting her, simple.”
BS...B as in B, S as in S...
If we are not supporting Akin, we ARE NOT supporting McCaskill by default.
We are supporting other GOP conservative candidates whom we feel have a chance to win.
1. Claude Akins:

2. the Bear:
Dont waste time. Nobody will read it.
Do something more productive ... SUPPORT TODD AKIN FOR SENATE!
And for the record, I called on Akin to withdraw, but he didnt, so yeah NRSC should suck it up and fund him(*), but instead of whining ... just contribute!
(*) Akin is sucking wind, but Connie Mack IV is doing that too ... so go figure.
Dear RNC
You withheld funds from Todd Akin after ONE gaffe. Ever see the Dems turn on each other like that? Know why? The MEDIA. You are pawns dancing to the tune the media plays instead of silencing it. You should put them people in their place. Until you do, go away.

With a background in engineering and a love of Americas founding principles, Todd Akin is a rarity in the political world. Todds humility and unswerving devotion to God and country shine clearly. He has proven himself to be the principled leader who Missourians trust.
Todd was born in 1947, shortly after Paul, his father, returned from fighting in WWII under General Patton. Todd and his three younger brothers grew up on a farm outside of St. Louis where their family had horses and a large workshop. The workshop was a favorite place for the boys.
Todd earned his engineering degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1971. It was in college that he picked up playing guitar, a hobby which he still greatly enjoys. After graduation, he served as an Army officer and then went on to work for IBM, where he met his future wife, Lulli. On a lovely day in June of 1975, after a year of weekend hiking trips and tennis matches, Todd married his best friend.
In December of 1977, with their first son just a baby, the young couple moved back to Missouri in the middle of a blizzard. That winter was one of the snowiest on record - just perfect for Lulli, whose parents had emigrated from Norway. Todd turned in his IBM suit for a hardhat and began work at Laclede Steel Company, where he was responsible for 2,000 employees and the maintenance of seven mills.
His love of country and conviction that leaders must stand on principle led him to run for State Representative.
In 1984, Todd earned his Master of Divinity degree from Covenant Theological Seminary. Although most of his classmates went on to become pastors or missionaries, Todd took a different path. For several years he studied the founding of America and the principles which made this country great. His love of country and conviction that leaders must stand on principle led him to run for State Representative in 1988.
As a State Representative, Todd quickly gained a reputation for his conservative stands. Although the Missouri House was Democrat controlled at this time, he fought fiercely to protect life, parental rights, and gun ownership. He also worked hard to get concealed carry onto the ballot.
In 2000, Todd ran for U.S. Congress in the 2nd District. It was a hotly contested five-way primary. Although the political elite in DC termed him a third-tier candidate, his message resonated with the voters. A shout went up from the hot and tired volunteers who were crowded into the Akins living room when they learned that Todd had won by 56 votes. He went on to win the general as well.
As a congressman, Todd continued to champion conservative principles. His very first vote in congress was against No Child Left Behind. In fact, he was the only congressman in Missouri to vote against it. Since then, his principled stands have continued. He even withstood the pressure of personal phone calls from the President and threats from his top donors. Yet accompanying these rock-solid convictions is a man who is respectful of his colleagues and willing to work with anyone toward real solutions.
Yet accompanying these rock-solid convictions is a man who is respectful of his colleagues and willing to work with anyone toward real solutions.
Todd was elected Vice-President of his freshman class in Congress. He is a member of the Science, Budget, and Armed Forces Committees, Chairman of the Seapower and Projection Forces Subcommittee, and former co-chair of the House Prayer Breakfast.
During all this, Todd and Lulli found time to homeschool their four boys and two girls. At the bustling Akin home the days were filled with studying at the kitchen table, working in the workshop, attending political events, and building go-carts and tree forts. Todds oldest graduated from Missouri Baptist University. The next three boys graduated from the Naval Academy and became Marine Corps officers. Todds older daughter is a senior at Hillsdale College and his younger one is still in high school. Three of the boys are now married and Todd has eight spunky grandchildren. When Todd can spare the time, he still loves to build furniture in his workshop, play folk songs on his guitar and play tennis with Lulli.
With a background in engineering and a love of Americas founding principles, Todd Akin is a rarity in the political world. In that world of mudslinging, empty promises, and scrambling for power, Todds humility and unswerving devotion to God and country shine clearly. He has proven himself to be the principled leader who Missourians trust.

Todd and family photo . .
For those here who continue to browbeat him, please, go out and do some research. Be an informed citizen before you open your mouth. And for those others, the GOPe, Rove, Romney, and yes, even Palin, ya'll can just go to hell. If you were a true conservative, you would have recognized and supported another one.
Even though it will most likely fall on deaf ears, here is the comment I submitted:
“At this point, if the National GOP continues to with hold support for Todd Akin, in Missouri, and the Republicans fail to retake the Senate, should he lose, then the fault lies squarely on the shoulders of the GOP.
He is a much better candidate than McCaskill, and a solid Conservative. Truth be told, I think THAT is the true reason for the GOP throwing him overboard; his dumb comment was just a pretext. Prove me wrong and help the people of Missouri throw McCaskill out on her keester, by giving needed asssitance to Akin.”
It made me feel good for a moment, at least :-)
