so it was taken out of context.

Contextualize Romney's decision to take a day away from the campaign to support Bill Clinton's foundation? What is Romney getting out of this, aside from sucking up to people who will not support him no matter what he does? I don't get why Republicans crave the approval of the chattering classes.

Oh boy, if you ever wanted to take your message inside the belly of the beast, this was it. I watched it, Romney didn't pull any punches... he was polite but he spoke of free enterprise, entrepreneurialism and work, and how it is these things that have delivered the greatest freedoms and benefits to mankind that the world has ever known. He interwove these concepts into free trade and he also made it clear, that foreign aid assistance would also be tied to these concepts... no free lunches. He was fairly eloquent and did exude a confidence in the belief that when he is president, these things will be unleashed.

Can't just preach to the choir all the time, and you never know, some in that audience may lean toward those concepts and Romney's presence there just may change some minds. Obama's words are nothing more than sloganeering, while Romney's sound rooted in reality, surely, some there perceive that, however nuanced to their way of thinking.
