What Makes Idaho So Sensible? What Are They Drinking?
Idaho Secretary of State's Office ^ | 17 May 2012 | Idaho SOS

Posted on 09/22/2012 5:39:32 PM PDT by Vigilanteman

A friend of mine from a previous life has been lobbying me to move to Idaho before TSHTF. If I could only afford to retire, I'd take him up on it. But I'm gainfully employed now and need the income.

Next, he sends me a transcript of Idaho Primary Election Results to prove even the lowest vote candidate in most GOP primaries still gets more votes than all total votes in the Democrat primary. How can a state so big and so geographically dispersed have such uncommonly common sense?

Is there something in the Snake River water supply? If so, can we get it put in the nation's water supply?

I wonder what the total population of Idaho is? Liberals aren’t the type to want to be self sufficient...those that don’tlike the rat race are inclined to go to low population states....maybe.....

Watch out. Liberals migrating out of California and other blue disaster states bring their destructive politics with them. Never mind that it’s irrational. Since when has the irrational nature of leftist politics ever stopped them?

We are about at 1.5 million, except when the Mormons head for Salt Lake for General Conference. Then it is just me and the wife...

Be careful. Wherever there are Mormons, illegal aliens in droves are sure to follow. Because the corrupt LDS leadership has embraced amnesty for illegals as part of its new false doctrine.

Mostly coconut milk. The surfing is great and miles and miles of beautiful Pacific beaches! Most nights, you’ll find a luau going on along with hula dancing! The friendly people of Idaho say “Aloha!” and invite you to enjoy their tropical island paradise!

I love Idaho and have been visiting there since I was a wee baby. My Mom was born in Sandpoint and grew up on a farm in Potlatch. She met Dad at the University of Idaho in Moscow. My Dad’s brother went to U of I, too. He married a girl from Twin Falls and opened the first orthodontia office in Twin in the mid 50s. He moved to Ketchum in the 60s and lived there for almost forty years.

We just visited my Uncle (now 92) in Twin over the Labor Day weekend and spent a night in Ketchum where took the opportunity to look at possible retirement real estate. The only problem is Blaine has swung heavily Democrat in the last two decades, the only county in ID to swing so badly. In 2008, Oblamo won by 33 points or McLame while McLame won by 25 points state-wide. I don’t know if I can stomach such neighbors again (just like we have here on the SF Peninsula). During our visit, we saw precisely two campaign signs, one RR and one OB.

Idaho is not heavily populated and unfortunately has drawn the attention of Left Coast carpetbaggers. It had a very small, frontier and libertarian oriented population, but I fear it will be overwhelmed by blue state leprosy in the very near future.

chuckle, you are both lucky. My grandson is in the air force in Montana...he says its all fishing all the time. Not a lot to do. He and his fellow airmen have sent me some pictures of the great trout they get....seems like heaven to this old lady, eat, fish, eat, fish and one day just drop dead without warning...:O) I’m getting closer to that age of leaving. Would hate to be found dead in the bathtub, rather be eaten by the animals (after death of course)

It’s 140 miles to the nearest Walmart or Starbucks, there are no traffic lights in this county, and I like it that way. A few tourists think about retiring, but they look around and get lonesome and move somewhere else.

Why would you want high-speed internet when you've got all this:

But yes, we do have high-speed internet.

I’ve seen about all about all of the world I care to. Except I did always want to go to Australia.

I like it here. But ti has changed for the worse. More and more land locked off. Farmers that didn’t mind you skirting a field to go fish or hunt. Too many people with no respect on their motorized vehicles tearing things now. So accesses are denied.

But I still catch a fish or two. A couple of good places on the Snake 5 minutes from my place.
