Muslims and Christians explore common bonds during Iraqi Kurds’ visit to Duluth
Duluth News Tribune ^ | 9/20/12 | : John Lundy

Religion doesn’t have to be a barrier between the East and the West, a member of an Iraqi delegation visiting Duluth told a group on Wednesday.

“We are all brothers. We are all from the same father and mother,” said Abdullah Adm, director of Muslim clerics in Rania, a Kurdish city in northeastern Iraq that has an ongoing relationship with Duluth. “As Muslim believers we think that all religions are correct. We believe in all the messages of other religions, because all of them are messages from God.”

Good news citizens. We've been all wrong about Islam. It IS a religion of peace.

Now go back to sleep.

An introductory lesson and example on the principle of al-Taqiyya, wherein lying is not only permitted, but obligatory if the lie serves the higher purpose.

That is stupid. There are no common bonds. They hate us. End of story

Seems to me that every time I've heard that, it was stated in the aftermath of an event that would otherwise suggest something much different.

So it all comes down to, "Who are you going to believe? Yet another shiite-for-brains apologist, or your own lyin' eyes?"

I'd made my choice a very long time ago; MUCH earlier than 9-11-01, in fact.

Well, someone’s practicing deception here: it could be the cleric engaged in taqiyya, or the media who love to trot out Muslims of the minority sects (like the Ahmadis, the Ismaelis, the Qu’ran-only movement, and some Sufi sects) which actually are fairly peaceful and tolerant, and may have found a Kurdish Sufi who suit their “narrative”.

"We believe in all the messages of other religions, because all of them are messages from God.”

Hm. How does God's message to the Jews that they will not murder - "will not" as in "Period. I will not be repeating myself. End of discussion." - jive with "Allah's" "Go ahead and murder anyone you want...so long as they're not muslim"?

Oh. Wait. Nevermind. I forgot that your little pig-idol also "said" it was OK to lie to non-Muslims.

“As Muslim believers we think that all religions are correct. We believe in all the messages of other religions, because all of them are messages from God.”

He is lying

The Koran:

Sura (2:191-193) - "And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution of Muslims is worse than slaughter of non-believers...and fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah."

Sura (5:33) - "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement"

Sura (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"

Sura (8:39) - "And fight with them until there is no more persecution and religion should be only for Allah"

Sura (9:29) - "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, even if they are of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued."

Sura (9:30) - "And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!"

Sura (47:4) - "So when you meet in battle those who disbelieve, then smite the necks until when you have overcome them, then make them prisoners,"

Sura (66:9) - "O Prophet! Strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be stern with them. Hell will be their home, a hapless journey's end

From the Hadith:

Muslim (1:33) - the Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah

Bukhari (8:387) - Allah's Apostle said, “I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah’”

Ibn Ishaq: 992 - "Fight everyone in the way of Allah and kill those who disbelieve in Allah."

Since we used internment camps for innocent Japanese citizens during WWII, internment is just what is needed for ALL MUDSLIMES until their deportation.

There will never be any co-existance with these devils and there will be little to no co-existance with the illegal, Spainish speaking know nothings that today clog up this society.

Gentleman Bird and I had a lot in common. We both wanted a Great Society. The only difference we had was that I wanted the entire population of do-nothing trash to have their own kingdom along with the homosexuals and criminal class.

Anyone that has given serious study of both religions knows that the characteristics of each God and his commandments are VERY different andthat Yahweh and Allah are NOT the same. Anyone that says different does not know hatthey are talking about and should be dismissed.

The mush-heads in Duluth love this kind of kumbaya klaptrap. It fits well with their union-centric “love us or we’ll bust yer head” philosophy.

I don’t want to sound like I’m argueing with you but, I’m an agnostic who accepts the word “Yahweh” describes God.

But the word “Allah”, describes a mental disorder.

Ease off of them hammers. These are *Kurds*. They are not only very liberal by Middle East standards, but have quietly been working with Israel for their mutual benefit.

They are very pro-United States, and were very disappointed that the US did not establish a major base in their territory.

The Kurds’ enemies are the Arabs, Turks, and Iranians, all of whom would gladly obliterate the Kurds (and the Kurds have allegedly even provide passage through Iraq for Israelis enroute to Iran for, you know, this and that.)

Add to that the Kurdish “eccentricity”. During the Saddam years, Kurdish families of means sent their sons West to Europe and the US to become both educated and wise in the ways of technology, diplomacy and politics. And after Saddam fell, these men, many with advanced degrees, came home and became the new leaders of Iraqi Kurdistan.

The eccentric part is that the Kurds wanted the smart, well spoken men as leaders, instead of the usual Imam-types. And that wisdom has paid off in spades for the Kurds. Kurdistan has been economically developing at a very fast clip, into a modern, western style semi-country. They are effectively autonomous as part of Iraq.

Their growth in their capital city, Erbil, has been compared to that of Dubai.

If you ever get a chance to hear one of their leaders speak, do so, as they are both erudite and speak in impeccable English. And they actually have something intelligent to say.

You will find the occasional Muslim individual willing to express such thoughts. Clearly they do not represent the whole however.

As much as I would love to see this be real, I’m afraid that I no longer believe any muslim.

When their very “holy” book encourages them to lie and kill, sorry folks, but I believe them as much as I believe Dan Rather.
