Senator Rand Paul's Election Projection

Rand Paul: You know, I think I’m in the minority here, but I think the election is over. I think that Romney has already won. The people really are tired of the debt, they’re tired of irresponsible leadership. I think they’re tired of having 23 million people out of work. So I think you’ll find, and this is my prediction, and of course, I could be wrong. I am fallible. But you remember when Reagan just pulled away from Carter at the end? I think that’s what we’re going to see, is people coalesce and find that the country’s just not headed in the right direction with all this unemployment and economic stagnation, and that they want somebody who’s been in business, somebody who’s run successful businesses and created jobs. I think that’s the way it’s going to break down, simply on that issue, is which way do we take the country – with someone who likes American business, or someone who can’t wait to sort of punish, regulate and tax American business.

Well, I have to agree, Rand, because if that does not happen, then America is dead.

And everyone who has died for her in the past 236 years gave their lives in order for the dumbest people on the face of the planet to throw every last one of those sacrifices down the crapper for some jackass who reads the same speech on a teleprompter over and over and over.

Are we those people?

To build back the economy, Reagazn/Volker needed a big recession. The one following Obama/Bush/Clinton will need to be massive. There will need to be loss of wealth and employment, gains by unforseen economic markets, and transfers (and losses of) a great amount of political power (from federal govt, overseas military, etc.).

Is this generation able to handle this?

I don't feel as certain as Rand that we can rely on "the people" being wiser and more sensible than in 2008.
If they were, Obama would be polling at about 20%.

I think this is more like how "the people" still really are.

I think we are going to have a situation much, much worse than a big recession.

I think we are going to have WWIII.

The only thing I have seen the current generation handle is smart phones.

We will see.

One way or the other, Americans are soon going to learn about reality, and it will be harsh.
