DOJ Fast-and-Furious Report: WH Aide Declined Interview With IG; 'White House Did Not Produce Any

(CNSNews.com) - The report on Operation Fast and Furious released today by the Justice Department's Office of Inspector General says a member of the White House National Security staff declined to be interviewed for the inspector general's investigation and that the White House itself did not produce internal documents for the investigation because the White House said it was "beyond the purview" of the inspector general.

The report said that gun traffickers purchased more than 2,000 weapons during Fast and Furious and that U.S. law enforcement officers eventually only recovered about 100 of these because "of a strategy jointly pursued by ATF and the U.S. Attorney's Office that deferred taking overt enforcement action against the individual straw purchasers while seeking to build a case against the leaders of the organization."

Two AK-47 rifles purchased by one of the traffickers ended up--11 months after their purchase--at the scene of the murder of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.

The media has already slammed the book shut on this 'scandal'.

There is nothing this president and this democrat party can do that will outrage the news media.

After the regime is replaced in Jan ‘13 there will be plenty of civil lawsuits to go after these criminals.

How the HELL does Obama get a pass on EVERYTHING from the press?!

I’m sick to death of this asshole & the creepy cult press that is supposed to be holding him accountable.

Consider just some of the actions Obama has taken for which he has neither been queried nor offered an explanation. From cash for clunkers, to screwing GM bondholders, for appropriations of his own volition, gutting immigration laws, F&F, . . .

Presidents are responsible to the people.

Despots are not.

Government should be transparent. Transparency promotes accountability and provides information for citizens about what their Government is doing. Information maintained by the Federal Government is a national asset. My Administration will take appropriate action, consistent with law and policy, to disclose information rapidly in forms that the public can readily find and use. Executive departments and agencies should harness new technologies to put information about their operations and decisions online and readily available to the public. http://www.whitehouse.gov/the_press_office/TransparencyandOpenGovernment/

From Aristotle's Politics, Book IV.

"There is also a third kind of tyranny, which is the most typical form. This tyranny is just that arbitrary power of an individual which is responsible to no one, and governs all alike, whether equals or better, with a view to its own advantage, not to that of its subjects, and therefore against their will."

"No freeman, if he can escape from it, will endure such a government."

That is NOT true. The White house isn’t a bunch of liars. They are “truth challenged” :)

“Truth challenged” indeed. The lot of the Democrats, the Socialist/Marxists have a goal, but many highly mobile sub-goals, or if you will moving, therefore difficult to target dots to connect on the way to that goal, therefore their means no matter what whoppers they must include in their portfolio of deceit justifies the end.

As the Muslims, the Democrats need to be put in a cage with a lock. It’s much less costly to society in so many respects by doing so.
