The owner should assure them that HE will not wash the bird droppings off of the sidewalk - then pay someone else to do it.

Here’s the answer. Stand over the bird droppings and smash a CFB florescent bulb. THAT way, you have to call the city’s HAZMAT crew to come out and clean it up and it’s done at taxpayer’s expense. Tell them you just don’t have any idea how the bulb got there and maybe one of the birds had carried it there and dropped it.

Do that about once a week.

Get a shovel and a wheel barrow and then make a delivery to City Hall.

Let the @$$holes there deal with the crap.

Wouldn’t a sidewalk be a public right of way, therefore to be maintained by the City?

If so,and the city doesn’t remove the feces, wouldn’t the business owner have a suit stating that the city is providing an unsanitary work environment or hazardous condition?

After all, he didn’t build that, someone else should be doing the bird doo clean up.

Well, the first thing I would do, is go buy a 50lb bag of trisodiumphosphate and dump that in the sewer, just on principle. Then, I would get a camera and footage of city employees washing bird droppings into the sewer — you know they do it. And finally, I would poison the birds, let them die in the street, and call the city to clean them up.

I’m throwing out a wild and radical idea here. Birds are probably pooping DIRECTLY into the bay. You know, since that’s where they’re hanging around so much.

Political logic; ya gotta love it. It’s completely psychotic. Thorazine could only be an improvement for most city councils.
