The thread theme of COMMUNIST GOALS has been referenced many times on FR. Thanks to Freepers forest - 3/30/2002, and 56newblog - 7/172012 for previously presenting this topic. It is a history lesson which is not taught in U.S. public education. It is worthy of reposting for those coming late to the party. No slight intended, but the under 40 population is least likely to be familiar with this list of goals.
Willard Cleon Skousen was an American author, conservative American Constitutionalist and faith-based political theorist. He was also a prolific popularizer among Latter-day Saints (Mormons) of their theology. A notable anti-communist and supporter of the John Birch Society. He graduated with an LL.B. from George Washington University Law School in June 1940 (the school updated his degree as Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 1972 with its degree nomenclature). After getting his law degree and passing the Washington D.C. bar exam, he became an FBI Special Agent. He left the FBI in 1951. From 1951 to 1955, he taught at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He later returned to Brigham Young University as a Professor in the Religion Department in 1967, retiring in 1978. The "father of modern conservatism", Willaim F. Buckley Jr. (died 2008, aged 82) kept him at arm's length out of fear that his "controversial" (extreme right wing) views would hurt the credibility of the conservative movement. Conservative commentator Glenn Beck has raised renewed interest in Skousen's writings.

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.
2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.
3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
In 2009 and 2010, the administration of Barack Obama declared policies that would invalidate the Bush-era policy for use of nuclear weapons and its motions to develop new ones. First, in a prominent 2009 speech, U.S. president Barack Obama outlined a goal of "a world without nuclear weapons". To that goal, U.S. President Barack Obama and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed a new START treaty on April 8, 2010 to reduce the number of active nuclear weapons from 2,200 to 1,550. That same week Obama also revised U.S. policy on the use of nuclear weapons in a Nuclear Posture Review required of all presidents, declaring for the 1st time that the U.S. would not use nuclear weapons against nonnuclear, NPT-compliant states. The policy also renounces development of any new nuclear weapons. Since this treaty was made, BHO announced in 2012 that he wants to further reduce the number of U.S. nuclear warheads to as little as 500. It is reasonable to also assume that BHO will not permit further development of ABM (anti-ballistic missile – long range or short range) counter-measures against ICBMs targeting the U.S.
The Boeing YAL-1 Airborne Laser Testbed, weapons system is a megawatt-class chemical oxygen iodine laser (COIL) mounted inside a modified Boeing 747. It is primarily designed as a missile defense system to destroy tactical ballistic missiles (TBMs), while in boost phase. Funding for the program was cut in 2010 and the program was canceled in December 2011. In September 2009, President Barack Obama announced that plans for missile defense sites (short-range ABM) in Central Europe would be scrapped in favor of systems located on US Navy warships. On September 18, 2009, Russian Prime Minister Putin decided to welcome Obama's plans for stationing American Aegis defense (short-range ABMs which cannot intercept ICBMs) warships in the Black Sea. The deployment occurred the same month, consisting of warships equipped with the Aegis RIM-161 SM-3 missile system, which complements the Patriot missile systems already deployed by American units. On February 4, 2010, Romania agreed to host the SM-3 missiles starting in 2015. However, once USS Monterey was actually deployed to the Black Sea the Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement voicing concern about the deployment.
4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war. The U.S. has become a debtor nation to Red China with the later buying up U.S. Treasury bills.
5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.
6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N. Done in the 1970s.
8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N. The Berlin Wall, part of the Soviet “Iron Curtain” lasted from 1961-1989. Since its fall, the divided Germanys have merged.
9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.
10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N. That was achieved and then swept into the dust bin of history when the Soviet Union collapsed during the early 1990s.
11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. We have witnessed massive moves in this direction:(1) World Court, (2) UN Kyoto Accord (U.S. signed but not ratified), (3) UN Law of the Sea (U.S. signed but not ratified), (4) UN International Arms Trade Treaty (pending ratification in the UN). Many conspiracy theorists believe this is the underlying principle of groups like (1) Bilderberg Group, (2) Bohemian Club, (3) CFR (Council on Foreign Relations), and the (4) TLC (Trilateral Commission).
12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party. Done
13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.
14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
15. Capture 1 or both of the political parties in the United States. Progressive Caucus (Marxist) within the Congress has 76 members. They are all Democrats or Independent (Marxist). Congressman Allen West, R-FL, publically referenced this fact in a Q&A session on 4/10/2012 at a town hall event in Jensen Beach, FL. Libero Della Piana, a vice-chairman of the national Communist Party-USA, denounced Rep. West the next day. The Blue Dog Coalition, commonly known as the Blue Dogs, is a group of United States Congressional Representatives from the Democratic Party who identify themselves as moderates. It was formed in 1995 during the 104th Congress to give more conservative members from the Democratic party a unified voice after the Democrats' loss of Congress in the U.S. Congressional election of 1994. Blue Dog Coalition membership for the 112th Congress is 26 seats, down from 54 seats in the 111th Congress. The Democrat National Committee (DNC) is pursuing an aggressive internal campaign to usurp what Blue Dogs are left with leftist candidates. 2012 GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney has kept the conservative base, especially the TEA Party movement, at arm's length during his entire campaign.
16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights. While not quite the same thing, the torturous reasoning of Chief Justice John Roberts’ decision in favor of ObamaCare in June 2012 can be seen as having weakend the SCOTUS and the nation.
17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks. Over the last 30 years, we have seen the rise of the “diversity/multi-culturalism/political correctness” movement. It was imported from Europe. It has now taken root in the federal government, all levels of public education, and is increasingly penetrating the corporate world. Jonathan Kozol (born September 5, 1936 in Boston, Massachusetts) is a non-fiction writer, educator, and activist, best known for his books on public education in the United States. He has been working with children in inner-city schools for more than 40 years. He is the main activist who infected public education with this mindset.
18. Gain control of all student newspapers. “Hate speech” rules on university campuses have effectively silenced dissent.
19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack. The 2011-12 Occupy Wall Street movement is the successor to the 1960s Weather Underground and Students for a Democratic Society (SDS).
20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions. Our local newspaper, The Birmingham News, is a classic example of this. The editorial pages are crammed with nationally syndicated leftists of all flavors. Only 4 conservative columns are offered – George Will, Tom Sowell, Charles Krauthammer, and Cal Thomas. All of the local editorialists are politically correct/ diversity disciples. Former Democratic National Committee Chair, Howard Dean, now chairs the Progressive (communist) Book Club.
21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures. Conservatives still seem to have the edge on talk radio. FoxNews is the only conservative TV presence, though 70 year-old president Roger Ailes, seems to be diluting conservative voices, e.g. Glenn Beck, Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin. Hollywood is hopelessly in the grip of leftist money men, producers, studio owners, and writers. Though the recent success of Dinesh D'Souza's "Obama 2016" may be an encouraging sign of resistance.
22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."
23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."
24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy." All that remains is the repeal of the DoMA/Defense of Marriage Act by the SCOTUS. The U.S. military has been effectively undermined with the repeal of DADT/Don’t Ask – Don’t Tell. Many public school libraries, at all age levels, now have books which attempt to normalize homosexuality. Tolerance clubs are sprouting all over the country in high schools. The 4 mainline protestant churches – Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Presbyterian Church in the USA, Episcopal Church, and United Church of Christ – have all abandoned biblical teachings regarding homosexuality. Next up is the normalization of pedophilia. Below is an incomplete list of TV shows with homosexual characters/themes/actors/ writers.

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch." The liberation theology movement within the Catholic Church and the "radical social justice" movements within various protestant denominations all advocate redistribution of wealth, i.e., socialism.
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state." SCOTUS did this in 1963. The traditional Sunday bachelorette service on public school campuses for graduating high school seniors has been virtually eliminated. The ACLU is aggressively forcing public schools to remove all wall pictures and plaques which contain Christian references. NYC mayor Bloomberg has ordered that public schools may no longer be used for church services outside of school hours.
29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis. BHO has certainly done this over the last 3.7 years.
30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man." BHO has certainly done this over the last 3.7 years. CNN, Wolf Blitzer and Michael Moore openly advocate this approach.
31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over. This has taken root in American academia at all levels under the guise of multiculturalism/political correctness/diversity/inclusiveness.
32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc. Gee, where to start – 1965’s “Great Society” programs culminating in ObamaCare in 2010.
33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.
34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities. Done. 1945 – 1975.
35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI. Could this be part of BHO’s plan to implement a civilian defense force?
36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions. Let’s see, the big 5 would be SEIU, AFL-CIO, NEA, Teamsters, and UAW. … Progressive (Communist) Hilda Solis, BHO’s US Secretary of Labor, is Introducing 90 new regulations to give unions much more power.
37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business. This 1 is harder to gauge. But if General Electric CEO Jeffrey Imelt is any example, then it may be later than we think.
38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].
39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals. Mental health regulations are included in ObamaCare.
40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce. Membership in all Christian churches in Europe and North America are declining. No fault divorce was established around 1970. Today, ~ 50% of U.S. marriages end in divorce. Marriage is on the wane in Europe, especially in the Scandinavian countries. White couples are having fewer children all over the globe. In the U.S. black community, 72% of all live births are by unwed/single mothers. For whites it is 30%.
41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use "united force" to solve economic, political or social problems. Occupy Wall Street
43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.
44. Internationalize the Panama Canal. In 1977, POTUS #40 Jimmy Carter signed a treaty which agreed to return 60% of the Canal Zone to Panama in 1979. The canal and remaining territory, known as the Canal Area, was returned to Panama on December 31, 1999 during the Clinton administration. Red China has been active over the last 10 years in gaining influence in the properties around the Canal Zone.
45. Repeal the Connally Reservation (so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike. Before ratifying the United Nations Charter in 1945, the Senate was wise enough to amend the section dealing with the World Court by barring the Court from jurisdiction over matters which were essentially domestic "AS DETERMINED BY THE UNITED STATES." Those 6 words, authored by Senator Tom Connally (D-Tex), are known as the "Connally Reservation" and are the only thing which COULD prevent the World Court from interfering in American internal affairs on the pretext that our tariffs, immigration laws, school curriculums, etc. affect American relations with other countries and are therefore "foreign" and not "domestic." Very powerful interests in Washington have been trying to get that "Connally Reservation" repealed ever since. Examples = UN Agenda 21, carbon tax, Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST), International Arms Trade Treaty, and a world tax to aid 3rd world economies.

Couple problems here:
1. The guy was a Mormon nut.
2. These are not Communist statements of their goals, these are claims by an opponent of what their goals are. As such, it has about as much inherent credibility as claims that conservatives want to kill women and reinstitute slavery.
Communists might very well want to accomplish these things, but his just saying so doesn’t make it true.
