The U.S. State Department is currently in negotiations with the Egyptian government for the transfer of custody of Omar Abdel-Rahman, also known as “the Blind Sheikh,” for humanitarian and health reasons, a source close to the the Obama administration told TheBlaze.
The Department of Justice, however, told TheBlaze that Rahman is serving a life sentence and is not considered for possible release. Previous calls to the State Department were referred to the Department of Justice and so far, the State Department has neither confirmed nor denied the report.

On his very first day in office the very first thing he did above everything else was to try and close down Gitmo. Assisting terrorists was the #1 priority for this fool. I certainly believe that. He could make the deal pre election so Morsi tames the mobs in Egypt and Obama can take credit for it before the vote and then after he wins or doesn’t win, it doesn’t matter, he releases the blind sheikh.
You know what sucks? Say Obama does lose the election. He’s still in power until January and he could do a lot of damage until he leaves.

Glenn says this transfer WILL NOT HAPPEN UNTIL AFTER THE ELECTION. That way if Obama is re-elected he could care less what people think as he has his agenda. BUT if Romney gets in the nieve people will BELIEVE it was Romney who did this and he will be voted out after one term.

If it doesn't happen while Obama is in office, it won't happen. Romney would not let it happen if he is the WH.

Remember the vote is November 6th. That is when Obama or Romney will be voted in. Obama’s plans will be to make the transfer minutes after the oath is taken.
