Having been corrupted into a semi-official state press, America’s mainstream media is now transforming the most important election in a generation into the political equivalent of an episode of The Bachelor. Liberalism’s scribal class is actually pleased that the contest has become a referendum not on the president’s record or his plans but on his charisma and popularity. In the kingdom of vapor, substance has no place.
This is how republics die, in thrall to the inane, the frivolous, and the inconsequential. A liberalism incapable of persuading the public to embrace its policies has been converted by its media tribunes into a publicity stunt. As a result, the nation that gave the world the Federalist Papers and the Lincoln–Douglas debates may very well reelect a flawed chief executive for no other reason than that he has been continuously portrayed as a super-nice guy by the media lackeys who tend the Obama cult.

I’m not sure the general public knows or understands how bad the problem is, or how close The Country is to collapse - they certainly can’t get the truth from the media.
The MSM are treasonous bastards. I wish they’d go to hell but it looks like they’re trying to take us all down with them.
I wish that were true. If a Republican wins, the media just keeps tearing at him until they have demoralized his supporters and made him ineffective. The things they did to George W. Bush were unspeakable.
One reason democracy failed in ancient Greece was that the vote would to the side of whoever delivered the best speech.
Gift of gab and crowd-swaying outweighed reason, justice, etc.

I've about had it with the elite / congress critters. Where the heck ARE THEY? My Jim Sensenbrenner had broken a hip and is sort of out of commission right now, my senator is retiring Herb Kohl and I have written our terrific Senator Ron Johnson.
Write letters / polite / to the local papers and tell them the news media belongs in some comedy club and that they are falsifying the truth, then toss out one or two examples. This is WAR folks and we need to take that Gun to their knife fight. We need to PULL R/R over the finish line by at least 10 points due to the voter fraud planned.

If Romney succeeds is avoiding Hussein stealing the election, I’d like to see him ban most, if not all, of the MSM from the WH Press Corps. They would scream bloody murder, but since they are going to publish left wing propaganda anyway, why should they take up space from those actually reporting the news? Then, let’s see how long those SOBs survive!
