I think you have it.
My compliments.
How I wish the MSM journalists would be that concerned about the words they use. Respect of the profession might actually be on the rise.
When I taught kids English, that was one of the lessons. When I was in teaching school, that was one of the lessons (choosing words in addition to spelling and punctuation). Thank God when I got my first degree in Engineering, it wasn’t based on edu-babble, psycho-babble paper writing.
Bless that young man’s family and those in attendance whom surrounded the twit so she could speak in peace.
It’s a shame that this post concerning a dead serviceman and his mother is littered (including my post) with this dribble instead of reflecting on the spontaneous act that the original poster was writing about. Thankfully for our Constitution, we all have the right to “correct” others. I wouldn’t have it any other way. What I was trying to say, is that this act of protecting the speech of the mother of a dead sailor, was more worthy of posting than humiliating a poster about the spelling. A private email would have been nice so he could change the word.
Grammar and spelling are BOTH signs of an intelligent poster. Learn or be thought a fool.
There you go with that perfect insight thing, again.
Is there a group that gets together in FR for this kind of flaming? Ping list perhaps?
spontaneous occurances by those of us with IQs over room temperature...
I’m going to think the best of you and assume that you are not trying to insult me.
cheers imjimbo
