Why do you watch CBS evening news? I got so mad about Rathergate, that I quit watching not only CBS news, but all their programs.
While I might relent and watch a really good drama, I will never ever watch their news programs. MSNBC is also a no watch channel.

There is a reason that the Forest service tells people not to feed the bears. Bears have a healthy respect for the human since the invention of gun powder. When people feed the bears, they lose their fear of us and eventually associate humans with food. They have lost all respect for us which ends up being bad for us and them.
Since Vietnam, we have been using our military as an aid group. They have been abused by more than one administration, to hand out food, supplies and medical assistance to people who hate us. The bears have lost respect. The reason for a military is to break things and kill the enemy, nothing else, especially when we are at war.
If you want to send in an aid group, send the Peace Corps, leave the Marines to do what Marines do.
We have been at war with the Muslims since 1801 when President Jefferson sent the Navy and Marines to defeat the Barbary States. That is why Jefferson had a copy of the Koran. Know your enemy.

I watched “55 Days At Peking” the other day, and it struck me the difference in mindset from when that movie was made.
Our people were being threatened with being murdered in China in 1900, during the Boxer Rebellion. Americans troops opened fire whenever the Boxers attacked, and repulsed the attacks - along with the combined forces of other nations that were under siege in the legation protecting their people.
Whether they should have been there or not aside, OUR people were being attacked, and OUR people defended themselves.
That is how you deal with people who act like rabid animals.
