An act of war, not 'senseless violence' [Newt on Obama and Jihad]
Politico ^ | 9/13/12 | Newt Gingrich

Posted on 09/14/2012 3:04:09 PM PDT by JediJones

[Obama and Clinton] again perpetuated the kind of intellectual dishonesty that cripples the U.S. response to radical Islamists.

This concept of “senseless violence” is at the heart of the left’s refusal to confront the reality of radical Islamists.

These are not acts of senseless violence.

These are acts of war.

Our ambassador to Libya and three other Americans...are combat casualties...

...the president is so committed to a leftist worldview that he cannot allow himself to face these facts.

It is inconceivable that there just happened to be attacks in Egypt and Libya on Sept. 11. Yet...it had clearly not occurred to [reporters] that simultaneous attacks on embassies were almost certainly not coincidental.

No one has looked into how the news of this stupid film reached crowds in Egypt and Libya...no one wanted to look at how anger about Danish cartoons spread across the Muslim world.

The left is desperate to deal with each new incident as though it is occurring in isolation.

This morning people were asking how we had failed the Libyan people. The naïveté is unending.

Libya was the second largest source of anti-U.S. fighters in Iraq. (First was our “ally” Saudi Arabia.)

Because of congressionally-imposed limitations and administrative and bureaucratic timidity...we know remarkably little about our enemies.

The policies of Obama have made our intellectual incoherence and strategic incompetence even worse.

It is no accident that the embassy in Cairo issued a groveling statement, apologizing to the haters for having inconvenienced them with American freedom of speech.

The embassy was simply following Clinton’s lead...[the Organization of Islamic Cooperation] has a long-term campaign to manipulate the U.S. government into defining any criticism...[of] Islam as unacceptable.

...the Islamist definition of heresy would destroy American free speech.

The Obama administration is...appeasing the most extreme elements of Islam.

Obumma may be trying to create conditions for another large-scale domestic attack, bigger and more deadly than 9-11.

When that happens expect wholesale suspension of our basic Constitutional freedoms.

The last time two of our Embassies were attacked by terrorists on the same day, their plan eventually ended up with 911.

Ohhhh, if only we had a Republican nominee with balls & gravitas & articulate, sharp, well honed criticism of Buruk Insane 0dumb0. Instead we've got Mitt, who ventured out a criticism of 0dumb0's mideast failures on Monday & Tuesday, and now today is praising 0dumb0 for his "warm likeability".

WTF? We've got a RAT bastard commie pig muslim 0dumb0 in the White House, attending fund raising events in Las Vegas, the day after our Libyan ambassador & 3 other Americans are killed in a coordinated attack, and now Mitt is back to praising the SOB traitor 0dumb0!

Dear God, please, for once somehow arrange events so that we could have a genuine, patriotic, conservative to run as nominee, and to bash 0dumb0 50 times a day for the atrocities he has committed against the USA. Instead Mitt is praising 0dumb0! Unbelieveable. We are screwed for sure. Thank you GOPe and the liberal/moderate/RINO's who gave us milktoast Mitt instead.

The problem is too many people in this country have forgotten about the attacks on 9/11. It didn’t even dawn on them.

I believe this and the bomb-scare calls at several universities are the first stage of Nobama eventually declaring martial law and holding off on the election. He will put this country in disarray with some states going forward with the election and others following his orders. Keep watching, only don’t get the popcorn out—we will need to protect ourselves from what’s coming.

I agree wholeheartedly with your post.

While I think The Won has escalated the situation by kissing ME rear ends a bigger issue seems to be the marginilization of 9/11. You know...make it a day of service instead of rememberance.

Pearl Harbor Day is remembered by few on an annual basis (it should be). That war is long over and won.

The WOT continues. 9/11 should not be forgotten by any American any time soon.

There is a reason the government is buying up all that hollow point ammunition. What could it be? Domestic war, revolution, riots, catastrophe....?

Thanks to dead for this reality:

Carter is Obama. Obama is Carter.

Both are Traitor Losers, who hate America!

Jimmy Carter's presidency was doomed by the Iranian hostage crisis after the US embassy in Tehran was stormed by Islamist extremists following the Iranian revolution.

A year after the 52 Americans were taken hostage, Carter lost the 1980 election. The hostages were released just as President Ronald Reagan, who defeated Carter, was sworn in.

2012

As Clint noted, the Empty Chair improved by codetoad:

It is past time to fire Barack and have him hit the road back to Chicago!

Thanks to RushIsMyTeddyBear and Focault's Pendulum and for finding these morphing graphic art realities

My elderly father was telling me recently that it is a very good thing that he is not President. His policy would be very simple attack the U.S. and our only response would be to send over a couple of B2’s.

Mind you it is a simplistic view but he was expressing his rage at the way our foreign policy never seems to represent us just the other guy’s point of view.

Newt sent out an e-mail expanding on his Politico piece with more detail. Here is the direct link to it:

At last someone put this in the proper perspective, not surprised it was Newt.
