You are right. You don’t deserve the nasty comments. I wish Obama hadn’t come. I watched the service, but muted Hillary & Obama. Everything else was very moving and appropriate, IMO.
So, they didn't get a t-shirt at the Memorial of the men who died in Libya but they did give out t-shirts at the memorial for Arizona shooting victims?
“Stop spamming the same link over and over.”
He just joined today, a newbie spamming? Wonder if he is a retread?
Please accept my apologies.
This one joined 9-11-2012. Wonder if this one is a retread? They are coming out in this thread.
Do you have a predetermined mindset, too.
"The President and Secretary of State were proper to be there to speak about these men."
I'd agree with you but when the campaigning started, their words were not about these men.
It was about covering their tail ends.
Marcella, can you see how Obama typically works? It is not genuine, even when he is on telepromter. It is about him.
I understand that the Secretary of State presides over situations when the personnel is directly under the position SOS. If this is protocol, Hillary was properly there - Obama was not. He was on a campaign stop.
It was not a press conference although he got face time anyway.
it was a campaign stop worked into a sacred memorial.
Good point you have here, Fledermaus.
I heard every word spoken there and both the pres. and sec. of state were formal and appropriate with their words.
I can’t believe none of the family members didn’t spit in the face of the these bastards.
That's a kicker. They did not conduct themselves appropriatly once the memorial became a campaign stop and a venue to work in the idea that they weren't responsible.
It was the movie..yes, that's right; "that's the ticket".
It was the movie that caused all of this; our hands are clean.
None necessary.
Certainly.
How much these families and friend must be grieving. I cannot imagine the pain they are feeling.
If you vouch for Marcella as a conservative Freeper, I'll take you at your word. That's all I need.
But it seems like Marcella is trying to sweeten up this situation.
I think most of us here, for this thread, are angry. Angry that 48 hours of warning was given and not taken and that Obama and Clinton are blowing smoke up our asses with the whole story of the film being responsible.
There is fear, too. If this guy gets elected again, I think things will get very bad, very quickly and will not be reversable for years.
He promised a transparent presidency. In drips and drabs, it is becoming more transparent in ways I don't think BHO intended. Thank you for clarifying Marcella's bona fides.
The deaths of these fine people were the center of the service today as they came back to this country. It saddens me some Freepers had to politicize this service as it definitely was not.
I also see names of Freepers here I've never seen before and they certainly don't know me to make a judgment. Then, there is one that is a newbie today and another one new from a couple of days ago. They don't know how to act on this board and/or they may be retreads. As to what happened in Egypt and especially Libya, we don't know the answers yet and there are many rumors out there about this and that. I'll wait until more definite facts are known before I throw rocks. Many on this thread and others are knee jerking before they know the facts. That's the way I work - research, find out the facts, then make a plan and execute the plan. I don't know the facts yet.
Jim R. has provided your conservative bona fides and stands with you so I will take you at your word.
I try not to be nasty and call people names - I try to stick to facts to make my point. Sure Hussein is a genuine communist, that label is true, and both he and Clinton need to be out of office. However, today, they were respectful and proper.
I'm also a master prepper and I hope you have stored water and food for the difficult times ahead.
Why are you willfully ignoring the facts?
Another freeper explained the logistic situation up thread. The President was too busy to go to Dover AFB for the photo op so he had the flight diverted to Andrews AFB. This required an additional flight to the Dover AFB mortuary. How considerate of him.
This is disgraceful. Why are you defending Obama?
Marcella, I’m no fan of obama or hillary and do believe they, primarily obama, have much to answer for in what is happening in the ME. This was a ceremony to receive the four killed in Libya.....a very sad/solemn occasion. You seemed to think it was dignified and would comfort the families, and I was glad to hear it. They deserve to be comforted.
Besides, I’m not a flamethrower on FR (at least I try not to be).
If Clinton and Obama had any dignity, they should of committed Seppuku on Natinal TV due to their incompetence. I guess the empty pageantry of quiet desperation in the form of meaningless drivel of disingenuous words by creatures so vile that they condem Divine nature by their deeds, covers a multitude of severe screw ups in your world. Get a clue please.
I couldn’t watch it. Their blatant lies and use of these heroes for political purposes made me feel like throwing up!
I won’t answer these other flame posts. They are wrapped up in hate for Hussein and likely didn’t see the service. Normally, I hit the mute button if Hussein comes on the screen but today was different - that service was for the men and the families and he was not the center of attention. He was muted and respectful.
This will be the end of my posts on this thread - I’m glad I saw that service for these fine men.
I commented earlier on another thread, I thought The Post-Turtle and Shrillery were vacuous and played to the camera...each to their own opinion on this.
News of the *Tweet* is out now, and makes Obama the fool.
The MSM is talking about how Ryan has politicized this event. However, MSM has not talked about how Hussain being there has policized this event.
While Hillary may have had true feelings for Ambassador Stevens, the false sincerity of this event was so thick it could be cut with a knife. If the display today is to be taken as something serious I would expect an admission from Obama or Hillary that this was an act of war. Until they speak from their hearts about our country a staged event doesn't move me.
By the way - why the audience and where'd they get those people so fast? AND...the TV setup with the four hearses was just plain creepy!
So empty images & words covers incompetence? Saw the service, was not moved, just sickened by the phoniness and pseudo-decorous event that took an extra trip to Andrews in order to score political points. Again, get a clue all you hyper emotional lemmings conned by “pageantry”.
Was Obama too busy to fly to Dover? Also why the tv coverage about the four killed but a blackout “requested” by the current administration of ramp ceremonies or other truly non-political solemn ceremonies by officials not allowed? Do you support hypocrisy and cheer for people using dead bodies to shut people up from asking rational questions?
“Conservatism” (Hate that label) /limited government is dying only because people like you fall for pageantry and manipulation by individuals who look to make you soft. Who exactly is Obama and Clinton? Answer that and you will finally see some semblance of their rational and motives.
Very well said, StarFan. Yes, I do think that *Obama voters* are stupid... so I'm sure they believe this ludicrous "the video/movie is what inflamed the Middle East" narrative.
I swear I heard that statement about 500 times over the past couple of days, from radio news reports (over and over during Rush's breaks) and on every news show other than Fox News', although I heard it a few times there as well, by liberals of course.
The Zero Administration and his fellow 'RATs are obviously desperate to keep the voting public from knowing the real truth: We are watching Obama's (and Hillary's) foreign policy go up in flames... as Charles Krauthammer has stated this week on Bret Baier's 6pm show.
I didn’t see the service because I knew it would make me puke. OTOH, I think most people here know instinctively that this “ceremony “ by no means brings this matter to a close. It isn’t over.
Pass the images and the links around — I think the time is growing shorter day-by-day — accelerating, I mean.
Thanks! :)
No - I think someone was just reminding us how the dems have a weird knack for using death and funerals as photo ops.
When I got back to my computer, I went to FR and signed up. (And yes, I did tell those "people" what they should do with themselves)
I'd like to verify that - do you have the link?
I cant believe none of the family members didnt spit in the face of the these bastardsI'm wondering if they wanted to... such an awful phony display of compassion by our "leader." And was Hillary any better? Geeesh.
Post 289 has the details.
Thanks - I looked but didn’t find.
It's good to hear that Hussein carried himself appropriately. I'm curious - which remarks did you find "disgusting"?
Marcella, if you happen to read this, a late response:
Not a retread, it’s true - I just registered on to FR on Friday (after a few false starts previously). I didn’t have the time to spend on political sites in my previous life, as I was too busy nuking gay whales for Jesus...
Apologies to the mod, who I may have ticked off by posting the same link on different threads (Dinesh Dsouza explaining how Zero is anti-American).
I appreciate your view that the ceremony was respectful, but IMHO (an opinion apparently shared by many others), the fact that Zero and the media were there together was extremely disrespectful.
I’d ask you to reconsider the sensitivities of the families who’ve lost their loved ones. If it were my son that was KIA due to the ineptness of Zero and Shillery, I wouldn’t want ‘em use his body as a photo op, which is all it was. If it wasn’t that, then why not the subdued, dignified, family-only, press-free ceremonies that usually occur for our Fallen Angels? Andrews being closer than Dover to the White House is just more proof of it being a photo op. The press simply being there at all is proof enough of it being a photo-op.
Ivan

I thought that was what I saw the 1/2 second it was on my TV!
A great, and greatly sad, graphic.
