OK Just heard this on CNN:

"On the subject of 'knee jerk reactions', actually its not my place to call it a 'knee jerk reaction", the Romney Campaign yesterday released a statement before the assassination of Ambassador Stevens but it was talking about the violence that was going on in Libya and Cairo. The Romney Campaign released this statement it said: 'I am outraged by the attacks on American Diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt and by the death of an American Consulate worker in Benghazi...' (that is a seperate death btw than Chris Stevens) Romney goes on to say "That it is disgraceful that the Obama Administration's first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions but to sympathize with those who wage the attacks.'

'What is interesting about this statement Congressman Forbes, is this statement came out before there was any violence...'

"Mitt Romney is calling out the Obama team for not condemning the violence before the violence ever happened."

This is more reminiscent of Carter and the hostages. Obama went to Cairo to mend relations with Islam. He has praised the Arab spring and helped to remove Mubarak.

And the initial apology from the Embassy in Cairo is similar to Mission Accomplished. Romney needs to go on the attack for Obama's failed foreign policy and lack of leadership.

I just heard Monica Crowley on Wash Times Radio outline what we should now do.

She says that we should immediately cut off all aid to Libya and Egypt, the Palestinians, and any other aid recipient in the region that does not publicly denounce the violence against American interests. “Immediately” she repeated, “today”.

Our reaction must be “punitive” and “retaliatory”, not rhetorical.
