Maybe they would "make things in America" if America had a rational energy, regulatory and tax policy.

Given the current policies in all three areas it would be idiotic for them to invest or build in America.

lol. The Republicans spent like crazy during their majorities in the early 2000’s. They are absolutely no better

LOL once again Naps, you demonstrate you have utterly NO clue what you are talking about when it comes to politics.

2006 Bush and last GOP Congress Federal Deficit $160 billion

2010 Obama and Last Dem Congress Federal Deficit $1.6 Trillion

Even a faux conservative Obamabot like yourself should be able to do that much math

You do realize that the phrase “an inconvenient truth” has a little baggage, don’t you? Maybe that fact got obscured by the fog of spittle, lol.

I know, it would be so much easier for you to just tune out the inconvenient facts if no one was so rude as to dare challenging the bubble world group think around here

It’s just Fre... Err, MNjohnnie against the world ain’t it?

You’re not doing a very good job of encouraging reluctant voters to support the Republican Party.

Maybe the Germans could pitch some Euros into our beggar’s cup since we were nice enough to rebuild their country after they went insane and elected a dictator.

If you are talking about the Marshall plan, that is a common misconception. France and the UK got twice / three times the money on a per capita basis, and they basically got it for free, whereas German got loans which it repaid. Also: The patents that went to the US as war reparations were worth ten times that.

The Marshall plan was important psychologically and in that it made money available at the right moment. Also, Americans should take great pride in that they help feed a starving people after the war (e.g. grain and corn deliveries, CARE packages). But rebuild Germany the US did not.

You have got to be kidding me. If you don’t think that most FREEPERS think that the Republicans spent to much money during the Bush Administration that you were not paying attention during that time. Many people complained about him spending too much money and making the federal government bigger.
