Video: ObamaCare diagnosed in one sentence (Must See)

Note to amateur grammarians: Don’t try to diagram this sentence at home. Via Andrew Malcolm, a physician running for the Illinois State Senate sums up ObamaCare in one sentence — one very long sentence, but still just one. Dr. Barbara Bellar brought down the house at a Romney event in August with this perspective-setting description of the Affordable Care Act, which already has over 340,000 views but which I’ve just seen for the first time:

gainst my better judgment, I decided to transcribe this video:

So, let me get this straight. This is a long sentence. We’re going to be gifted with a healthcare plan that we’re forced to purchase and fined if we don’t, which purportedly covers at least 10 million more people without adding a single doctor but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn’t understand it, passed by a Congress that didn’t read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President who smokes — [laughter] — same sentence! — with funding administered by a Treasury chief who didn’t pay his taxes, for which we will be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government that has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a Surgeon General who is obese — [laughter] — and finally, financed by a country that’s broke.

At the end, Dr. Bellar even channeled Allahpundit with this exit question:

So what the blank could possibly go wrong?

Not enough people could watch this video, for one thing.

Too bad Romney wants to keep most of ObamaCare, apparently. So disgusted.

I encourage everybody to distribute this video to family and friends. You might actually get more votes for Republicans away from FR. Most folks here have already decided.

Problem with this country is that probably not ONE person in a thousand under the age of 40 has any idea how to diagram a sentence, let alone even know what it is..

So we elect Mitt Romney and get more ObamaCare (amended slightly and now called RomneyCare part Deux). I want conservatives, not Republicans. The largest new entitlement of the last 45 years, Medicare Part D, was passed by a Republican House, a Republican Senate and signed by a Republican president. No conservatives to be found. And if you ever believed for one second that Team Romney was serious about repealing ObamaCare, his recent comments should set you straight. Disgusted.

Nor can they 'sound out' the pronunciation of a word, or do math in their head...

Thank you, educational system for your help...

It's always refreshing to read someone else here bring this up besides me. So thanks.

Based on my recent experience, the expensive parts will be the administrative/regulatory costs for making sure proper claims are paid and that inappropriate claims are not.

Currently, insurance companies are hiring the cheapest, most incompetent staff available. What should be routine claims are being processed multiple times due to the complexities of treatment codes, and other factors. When it gets done by government employees, it's just gonna get worse.

The most worrying requirements are mandated coverage for pre-existing conditions and elimination of lifetime caps.
If one can demand and receive insurance once one’s illness becomes evident, then there is no reason to insure until it’s needed. Mandating coverage for all conditions while mandating unlimited spending is a recipe for ruin of the industry.

The simple truth is that freebies have never been repealed.

Newt was able to roll them back in the 90s but I repeat...freebies have NEVER been repealed.

Politicians look ahead to the next election.
