There was plenty to dislike in Obama's speech. The language was flat, his delivery languid. The speech was stuffed with standard Obama chestnuts about the smallness of politics, the corrupting influence of money in politics, and how cynicism is our worst enemy. [snip]

I think it served his narcissism to say that he would experiment. But I think he was also using it to conceal the fact that he has no ideas, no plan b, no plan at all. So saying he’d experiment is saying he’d come up with ideas - in the future. That’s how he got elected - by talking about what he WOULD do because he couldn’t talk about what he HAD DONE up to that point (i.e., nothing).
I always thought his speeches were empty. People say he talks in generalities - I think he felt like he was being more specific here - without actually being specific at all. He’s got no idea what to do but promises he’ll experiment. Gee...maybe it takes 4 years to experiment and then the next president would ‘get credit’ for turning the economy around after he left office.

I grew up durring his tenure in the White House and was taught as a child he was the most dispicable socialist bastard to ever occupy the White House.
Without government intervention the depression would have been over in short order as soon as those living on credit were wiped out!

Brother, I have understood it for over 40 years, since I was sitting in the barbershop reading Time magazine while my dad and brothers got their hair cuts.
Now we are told, in THIS election where the choice has finally been made clear to the American people that the Alinskyite, the Ayers-ite, the Wright-ite Obama might still win.
